When I am logged in to my author dashboard and go to my book at http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/17... the tool for creating a widget gives the error message "Sorry, we couldn't find that author."

Create a book shelf and list your own books. Then the widget has a place to search for it outside of the authors dashboard...

I get that message too. I complained about it ages ago and they said it was a bug. But if you go to your Author Dashboard, to the right there is a box that says Author Widgets. Click on that and it takes you to a page of widgets.

So I read that listing our own books on a shelf will help them to be noticed. How do I get my own books on a shelf? Must I rate them? I'd prefer not to rate my own books, since I'm biased.
