Where is this set in??????

I finished this book a few hours ago and I'm in love with it! I'm trying to figure where it takes place, I suspect Australia because they don't use the 24 hour clock in the book, and the author's Australian, not to mention that when she talks about other places I suspected-like London and whatnot-it sounds more like she's talking about a place she isn't in, not OF the place she's in... I really want to know where they are X/

Just finished the second book and they went sailing in the Pacific so it has to be Australia. It's quite ambigious.
Its Australia probably Sydney. You should message the author if you want to know for sure, she is on facebook.
