Sally Grotta (sally_wiener_grotta) After some long discussions, my husband and I have decided to open our website up for guest blogs. The guidelines are at http://www.grotta.net/blog.htm?post=8.... (Please read the guidelines before submitting.) Essentially, think in terms of an essay rather than a social media posting.

Is anyone else open to guest blogging?

Alayna-Renee (princessalayna) | 27 comments I've been a well-established blogger for over a decade, in addition to being a published author and a fixture in social media. I'd absolutely love to chat with you about guest blogging, as it typically helps both parties increase readership!:)

Sally Grotta (sally_wiener_grotta) Great to hear from both of you. Please check out the guidelines link above. Then, let's talk.

I've been blogging for a couple of years (http://devorahfox.com) and believe I could offer an essay (on publishing, writing) that would add value to and be compatible with yours.

What is your readership, as in how many page views per day? Do you have a Facebook business page? If yes, how many fans? Is your blog heavily linked on other sites? What motivation do we have to guest blog for a site we've never heard of? It may be a great site and a great opportunity, but I'd like more information about it.

Darlene Deluca (darlenedeluca) | 20 comments I'd love to hear any results people have had with guest blogs, both for the host and the guest. I'm starting a series of guest interviews on my blog today, and trying to spread the word, but not really sure how much exposure it'll get. Any tips?

Stacy Bender I see that I'm not the only one who interviewed with Michael Brookes. :-)

As for blogging, guest or otherwise, I'm still new at this and still working on my own. http://stacybender.wordpress.com/
Comments\critics\suggestions welcome.
I'm a relatively new author and I would be more then happy to enlist if you'll have me.

Steve Smy (steveksmy) | 19 comments I've just had a guest blog published and I have to say that I'm delighted. In fact, I was honoured to be asked. I can't say that I was particularly interested in what kind of readership the blog had (it's very good) or such as I know from experience that statistics provided are always open to interpretation. For example, there are blog tours/hops that I can't participate in because my blog doesn't yet have the requisite number of direct followers - which totally ignores Twitter, Facebook and other connections! So, basically, it's all a bit of nonsense in those terms.

I would be happy to guest blog again, without needing an "annual report" for the blog. I will, therefore red the guidelines and see whether I wish to take it further. My only qualification is that of time - i.e., do I have the time to do it?

Alayna-Renee (princessalayna) | 27 comments Hello to everyone!

I'm Alayna, and I'm relatively new to the Goodreads world, but I do have to say that I adore these little communities that spring up everywhere. It's a great networking tool, and also a wonderful way to make friends with like-minded interests.

I'm a fairly high-profile blogger (i.e., I seem to get a lot of traffic and know too many people) who has kept a blog about relationships, life, and the process of growing up for the past decade. At the end of 2012, I published my first book, a collection of poetry about human connection, intrigue, and infatuation.

I love the idea of swapping guest posts or author interviews, and although I don't have a book/literature blog per se, I'd like to make intelligent guest posters a regular feature in the near future. As for me, I'm able to write on virtually any topic and have no shortage of opinions or interesting stories. ;P

Please feel free to check out my blog at jadedelegance.net, friend me on FB, or peek at my book (listed below.) If you think you might be interested in swapping posts, reviews, or interviews, please contact me privately on here or at [email protected] .:)

I look forward to hearing from you in the near future!

Cheers,
*~ Alayna

Enjoyed looking at your blog. Those drifting petals...not sure I've seen something like that yet.Pretty cool. I'd be interested in exchanging posts. Mine at http://devorahfox.com is mostly a hyperlocal blog about the Texas Coastal Bend but I do have a page devoted to reading and writing. You can PM me here or write to [email protected]

Thanks, Devorah! It's actually a very simple script that will allow you to do cascading anything. I used to have butterflies. :)

I'd love to discuss exchanging posts, and will shoot you an e-mail sometime shortly---or, at least, when my energy level returns. ;(
