The first book in Chaos Walking was great, but the last two were just AWESOME!!!! They definitely would be top 10!!! And Daniela, you should definitely read Unwind; it was fantastic!!

Malia | 3 comments New to the group, so maybe you guys have discussed these before, but I would also recommend The Scourge by A.G. Henley (second book due out in a few months), the WOOL series (Hugh Howey) and the Matched series by Allie Condie.

message 59: by Malia (new)

Malia | 3 comments FYI for Neil Schusterman fans (Unwind series)- if you friend him on FB, he often posts when he is writing and asks for help naming his characters!

Welcome to the group Malia! You nominated The Scourge for the July group read didn't you? Well, it's going on the poll so we might all end up reading it :)

message 65: by Daniela (new)

Daniela | 429 comments Everyone recommending books, remember to nominate some of your favourite for the group reads! There are still 2 days left to nominate and a fair amount of places left in the Quarterly Series poll!

I totally understand, I had the same thing with the Chaos Walking series by Patrick Ness; I was super patient with that one and it luckily paid off!!

message 67: by Meltem (new)

Meltem (meltemozbek) Hey everyone.I've just finished Legend (better late than never!) and I loved it. Could you recommend some books like it in the same genre? Thanks!

I agree with Divergent! You also might like Under the Never Sky and Rot & Ruin :)

message 72: by Riya (new)

Riya I've been meaning to read Under the NEver Sky!!

message 73: by David (new)

David Estes (davidestesbooks) | 1040 comments Just a caveat on Under the Never Sky, it was an OK book but the sequel is awesome and waaay better, and I think the third could be the best! Whereas with Legend I liked the first book better than the second :)

message 74: by Riya (new)

Riya Interesting- I still have to read prodigy as well- I'm so behind!

Cambrie (cambray1999) | 34 comments Has anyone read, "The Maze Runner," series? Gosh- it's my favorite! THe movie is coming out next year! It's a must-read. Also, Maximum Ride by James Patterson? Gosh it's perfect!:D

message 82: by Sky (new)

Sky (mikotea) I loved The Maze Runner series, though I have yet to finish the prequel that came out after I read the original three.

I feel like The Testing is a mix of The Maze Runner and The Hunger Games.

message 83: by Cambrie (new)

Cambrie (cambray1999) | 34 comments @Likeskylarks, the prequel is better then the series in my opinion. It had me crying at the end. It's such a powerful book, you HAVE to read it! Literally, HAVE TOO!

Sky (mikotea) Cambrie wrote: "@Likeskylarks, the prequel is better then the series in my opinion. It had me crying at the end. It's such a powerful book, you HAVE to read it! Literally, HAVE TOO!"

I think I'm like half way through it, and it's taken me since the book came out to get that far D:

message 85: by Riya (new)

Riya Nice!!! I love both the maze runner and James Patterson! I still need to read the prequel though; I thought the other three were all amazing!

message 86: by Daniela (last edited Jun 21, 2013 09:10AM) (new)

Daniela | 429 comments You guys need to stop being so good at recommending books, the amount of books i want to read is getting our of hand! I need to revise an you guys are just fuelling my procrastination! XD

message 87: by Riya (new)

Riya Haha I'm the same way! I have literally like 200 books on good reads to read and then I've still got 100s more!

message 88: by Cambrie (new)

Cambrie (cambray1999) | 34 comments Haha- mind if I do one more? TFIOS by John Green. It's amazing!

message 89: by Daniela (new)

Daniela | 429 comments I completely agree, so excited for the film!

message 90: by Riya (new)

Riya Everyone keeps telling me that, but I was reading parts over my sisters shoulder and it just didn't work with me...I didn't like the obsessive sadness

message 91: by Kayla (new)

Kayla De Leon (kayladeleon) Does anyone know when the TFIOS film is coming out?

message 92: by Daniela (new)

Daniela | 429 comments You have to read it from the beginning to understand why its so amazing. If you dont like it even then, then fair enough haha. And I'm not sure Kayla, they haven't started filming yet because the actors playing Hazel and Augustus are filming divergent! I don't think they've cast everyone either. Probably late 2014 or 2015?

message 93: by Kayla (new)

Kayla De Leon (kayladeleon) AHHHH THE DIVERGENT STILLS ARE KILLING ME!!! And we'll finally know how to pronounce Uriah's name -happy dance-

message 94: by Daniela (new)

Daniela | 429 comments I know right!XD

Me too, I dont think the movie will be good enough to see it, starting with the actors they chose (especially the ones for Tris, Will, Al and Eric) and the clothes they use since abnegation only wear gray.
The same with the Mortal Instruments movie.
