Pretty soon I'm off to the post office to collect a package (which I hope are the first Rifter books!). I'm going to celebrate the occasion by voting there too because I've already voted with every equipment at home (almost including microwave and fridge).

I think (assumption here) it's the cookies in addition to the IP-address. You have to delete them before checking into another WLAN.

Yeah, that is a good advice! After voting with all three computers and three iPads at home I seem to have same problem with the mobile phones that you guys have. But I'm not about to give up. No-ou. No way. Never.

I got the Rifter books and they are absolutely BEAUTIFUL. I love the covers (the back covers are beyond AWESOME too!) and the maps... and everything! Thank you so much! :-)

John and Kyle really kicked my voting spirit into a totally new level!!! Planning my new strategy here... it involves neighbors and hubby's work mates...

Deleting the cookies worked! Thank you for the tip, Calathea! And I think that we are making some progress as we speak — the numbers are 38.7% and 61.3%...

It's 41.5% to 58.5%. This looks way better than in the morning.

The Irregulars are gaining. It's 41.31% to 58.69%.

You need both: Kill the cookies and change ip-address by locking into a new wlan or disconnecting your router from and then reconnecting it to Internet.

Anyone with ipads, if you have puffin browser cleaning cookies and cache works! (unfortunately i think they have something faster or better or whatever... Not giving up yet thou :-))
And close the puffin app by doubleclicking the home button and restart it.

The Puffin browser works for about 90% of the (re)tries, but still best so far...

Nope. No go. I even tried using Bing from Puffin after killing history, cache and cookies. Still got "we have counted your vote."

Sometimes there are tries that don't work and then several do. I clean cookies, etc. from settings after the vote is counted, then doubleclick home button, close the app, open it again and so on. Sometimes i clean the cookies twice in a row. Hopefully this helps.
On the bright side, there will be lots of votes total. Doesn't feel very bright right now, but maybe later *sigh* ;-)

To close the app completely, after doubleclicking home button, the open apps appear at the bottom of screen separately, then tap and hold for a couple of sec until it wiggles and then press the minus sign on upper left corner (sorry if you already know this, i didn't not long ago :-))

OK, time to tell my terrible secret: someone told me it is possible to vote from a Kindle Touch with WiFi connection, but... I don't have a clue how. It would be one vote more!

A friend of mine, a former member of the Swiss Parliament for the Green Party, commented after voting and checking the results that she managed to be in the minority also in this case ;-).
