Alright Kids...I have actually decided to go ahead and read this one this month, since I have it on my TBR shelf and I haven't read it yet. I just have to finish Mansfield Park first, and then I'll jump in, probably sometime next week.

Snap! Just finishing off Lord of the Flies then I am good to go!

Just read the first few pages. So far so good. Though the writing is very small in my copy!

Well - you think the type is small in your book - look at the original manuscript - scroll to bottom of my post in the link above for photos.

Blimey!! Come to think of it inside the front cover of mine there is a print of her actual writing!

I've just managed to get hold of a copy, so I shall be joining you in reading this book in a day or two.

I'm on to the second part now. Really enjoying this one.

Just reached page 83 - chapter 18 of the first section.
What an interesting book. Really enjoying it so far. A really strange mix of characters all with their own stories.

Urgles....I am enjoying the story so far but there are soooo many characters! I am having a bit of a hard time trying to get them all wrapped up together in my head.

I am currently reading the part with Jean-Marie recovering in the farm w/ the two girls. It is a surprisingly fast read though. I felt like I've barely had time to read the last couple of days and I am already over 100 pages into it.

There are definately a lot of characters and I found it hard to follow and remember who each one was. But still really enjoyed it.

I just started Dolce this morning. The pace is quite different but I must say I was shocked by some of the things towards the end of Storm in June. some of the deaths were just so fast I hardly had time to breath.

I think the author quite enjoyed herself in creating some of those death scenes - I got the sense of a smirk in the writing of that one scene in the road back in Paris - his comeuppance so to speak.

I was too! I mean, it just happened so fast I was shocked. Also the scene with Father Philippe. It was a shocker.

I posted about Philippe in the other Discussion board to create less spoilers since I'm not really sure where to post what being a bit of a newbie.

I just finished Storm in June. I'm really liking this book. The scene w/ Phillipe's death was shocking, I think the children could sense his contempt. I hope we hear more about the mistress who always seems to land on her feet.
