Tempted by a Cowboy by Vickie Lewis Thompson is the second book in her Perfect Man series. Tempted by a Cowboy is a cute contemporary romance, that is a fast and relaxing read…perfect for the beach or just a day you want to just lie around and read.

The Golden Sword, set in Cornwall, England, centuries after the rise and fall of Camelot, is about Arthur Penhaligon, a young boy destined for big things. Author, Rosie Morgan, tells a lovely story about a normal teenager with normal wishes for a great summer. When peculiar events interfere with said plans and can no longer go ignored, Arthur innately rises to the occasion. Great-Uncle Lance must have had something to do with that?

WOW! JUST WOW! What a serious intense read that was. I don’t think I have ever cried this much over a book. OH MY HEART was pulled and pushed, squeezed and there were times I thought I couldn’t read any more because I felt so raw (small disclaimer here as I have a hard time reading anything about children torn from their parents or young children dying, so I might be ultra sensitive here).

ATTACK OF THE AUTOMATONS is the third storyline in Lara Nance’s Airship Adventure Chronicles-Volume one. Although this installment wraps up this particular arc, there is plenty of room for future storylines.

Annie begins with Cody and his men on a four day patrol during the Vietnam War. They’re wet, tired and on edge, and can’t wait to get back to their base. Because once they get back, Cody will ask the woman he loves to be his wife and all will be right in his world. Just as Cody asks Annie to marry him, the NCO club is attacked and all goes black for Cody.

ECOND CHANCE BOYFRIEND is the second storyline in Monica Murphy’s contemporary New Adult romance series Drew + Fable. For me, this particular novel was not as emotionally strong as ONE WEEK GIRLFRIEND because many of the heartbreaking scenes and gut wrenching revelations had already been revealed in the first book.

Undertow by S.M. Stelmack was an excellent adventure. I give it a 4/5 rating This book is full of danger, intrigue and friendships. Imagine a city under a city, levels of this city divided, until we get to the lowest of the low. Each level has their hierarchy, rules and laws. At the top we have running water and electricity. Each level goes deeper and deeper, until we hit total darkness. And the monsters.

A Certain Summer by Patricia Beard is classified as historical fiction with a lump of romance. The setting is 1948 on a small town beach tourist island that draws the same crowd each and every summer. The beach houses are beautiful, the festivals are crowd pleasers and life is generally good when you are there despite the typical small town gossipers and expectations of how one is to live.

The Alpha’s Daughter is book three of the “Wolver” series. All the books in this series are written as stand- alone, but I always love having the background and history inherent in reading a series start to finish. So if you haven’t read this series, you may want to pick them up.

I just finished Outcast Prince by Shona Husk and I’m sorry it’s done. I was such a fan of this book from the introduction of characters; the words started forming rather effortlessly into a glowing review. I hope I do it justice! Set between Charleston, South Carolina and the fairy world of Annwyn, Caspian Mort and Lydia Callaway discover that love doesn’t separate. It’s far from easy; outside influences, personal secrets and immortal beings with their own agendas do tend to make romance difficult. But when it’s meaningful, those obstacles become mere inconveniences.

Brave in Heart by Emma Barry is a short story that’s also a quick read. It takes place during the Civil War and the story between Margaret and Theodore revolves around it. Upon reading the book’s little blurb I really thought it was something I’d enjoy in a story. However, I found it wasn’t and because of that fact I find myself struggling as I write this review

Persephone’s Orchard…….what a wonderful book. Molly Ringle builds a beautiful world of true love, wrapped up in Greek mythology. Sophie Darrow leaves home and goes to college where she is “kidnapped” and brought into the spirit realm to meet Adrian. Adrian has to convince her he is not a crazy stalker and he has a purpose for bringing her into this spirit world.

Uncharted by Tracey Garvis Graves is a novella, which takes us back to the Maldives and the island of Tracey’s first book, On The Island. I really enjoyed On The Island, and thought Graves was a wonderful new author. I wasn’t wrong, as she does it again with this short story. Uncharted gives us more information about our favorite couple from OTI…Anna and TJ. But they are not the main characters in this book.
