I just tallied my own count and was quite proud with my 66 books until I opened the thread. I still have a long way to go )))

66 is great! And that means you have so many good reads ahead of you (also some dubious ones)!

Mostly low ratings on my end (for instance Piranesi) but also some high ratings (The Strange Affair of Spring Heeled Jack, Flowers for Algernon).

Sorry you didn’t like Piranesi. I loved it. The audio book is lovely.

Oh yes there are some on the group's bookshelf that have been on my own personal TBR for ages!! Time to get to them all! 😆

I know there's a couple that do not compute (e.g. I've read The Lord of the Rings and the group shelf has The Fellowship of the Ring) so I guess it's about 20. Most are high ratings, four and five stars.
I guess that means a lot of opportunities for scheduled re-reads!

We are voting now for January - March rereads. Campaigning for specific books you want to read is allowed and encouraged.

whoa!! that's a great starting point, Rose! hoping you'll share with us what you're reading in the coming months! Welcome!

:-) Happy to join in for imaginary tea and crumpets! LOL.

That is 267 books. I would like to read Way Station and Djinn City yet this month, we'll see.
At 275, time for a Treehouse Dessert and pic--hopefully February or March.

Welcome Rose, that's a great place to start from!

I think you can compare shelves to the SFFBC "user" and see what matches

More info about comparing your bookshelf against the mod's shelf, link also found in Current Events:

Yeah, well it did take a while, but at least I was listening to an audiobook while working on it so it wasn't a complete waste of time? I swear I sometimes spend more time on book-related lists, challenges, and statistics rather than on reading itself 😅

I feel very called out :D

Yep, got the same here, It appears my number is wrong because I tagged a few books in TBR as SFFBC ones. It made sense at the time - so that I could bump them to the top of the list, but I (of course) forgot about this detail.
Well, I'm just going to go with this number and relax. Thanks! You really are a life (and sleep) saver.

(And also nice if I have a positive effect on other people's sleep, how do I make it work on *me* tho?! :D)

I am glad I am not the only one lol. It's just so satisfying... But like my TBR list has over 6000 books (although it does include sequels for organizational purposes). How can I even make a dent in it when I constantly think of new columns I could add to my Calibre list and of new excel spreadsheet ideas 🤷🏻 And still I am always thinking this will be the last project...
Oh btw, I have 51 books read from the shelves, just to be back on topic. I hope to be reading more next year. This year it has been only 4 and I might still read 3.

Thank you, Allison. It might take a while but I do want to catch up one day. I plan to tackle Zodiac and Memory of Water still this December since they fit my other challenges. Also I am finally going to start The Way of Kings.

the comparison shows 146 - I show 168 so I'm going to presume the missing ones are ones I read in hardcopy before Goodreads came along

Wow, thank you Marie! I joined and I'll add that to all the catching up I'm doing on SG lately. (I was behind by.... a year. So.... I got stuff to do. )

woooow I've discovered a whole new world!!

Thank you! I want to go through the list and pick out the 12 later today. I’m hoping to join the Piranesi discussion this month. It’s been on my to-read list for what feel like forever.

I really enjoyed it! I listened to the audiobook, which I think helped because of the slow beginning. Once I was over the 30 minute/hour mark things picked up for me. I found myself extremely invested in the character Piranesi and the halls.
