Yes of course :) That's the easiest way to keep track of how many books you've read if it's below 100. For some reason GR won't let you vote for more than 100 books on a listopia list.

Leq | 23 comments 37 read including the top 8

Initially I had 12 matches on the "waiting list".

After going through the list I started adding, and adding, and adding ... at some point decided to look only at the books scored 4 or more, otherwise I would have ended up with almost all the books on my reading list (maybe I'll get there eventually, but let's not rush it :-)).

Anyway, now I have ~27 books to read ...

message 207: by Sanjana (new)

Sanjana Only 10 :( But a lot of them are on my TBR list. :)

Stephanie Griffin | 35 comments 36 for me too, although there are two others I'm not sure if I've read...

message 211: by Christina (new)

Christina Only 8, so far. But I see a great many that I'd love to read. It'll be fun to work my way down.

message 212: by William (new)

William Eckman (brukkaros) | 5 comments A pitiful 19 for me. I would have guessed much higher...

message 213: by Monica (new)

Monica (monicae) | 511 comments Read 16. I have 19 on the to-read list.

message 214: by Iscah (new)

Iscah Iscah | 22 comments I've read 14 of them.

Towards the beginning of the year, I realized I had managed to pile up over 70 books physically on my "to read" pile. I'm making myself go through those before seeking out any new books.

message 215: by Polenth (new)

Polenth Blake I've read about 15 of them, though only a handful of those were in time to discuss them. I read too slowly to keep up with the discussion schedule. (If there was a book of the year, I could manage that!)

message 216: by Beachesnbooks (new)

Beachesnbooks I just joined the group, I've read 26 so far. A bunch are on my to-read list. Some great books on there!

Great list!

Did you intend to post on the 2014 Challenge thread? (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...) The thread you're posting on is more ongoing and not particular to 2014. It shouldn't matter though if you are just trying to keep track...

I notice you intend to read The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress this year. Some of us are planning a group read of that soon if you are interested. On the group read thread (https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...).

I posted here because I have only just this year had the time to begin reading again other than the mandatory Pratchett and LOTR books that I re-read every year. My intent is to (eventually) re-read everything in my library and all this new material too. Thus, posting it here lets me keep track of what I've read since starting up again.

I have been wanting to re-read The Moon is a Harsh Mistress for a very long time. The fact that it will be part of a group read in November is definitely great news and I think I can hold out that long. This was one of the few scifi books I was ever able to get my husband to read and enjoy a long long time ago and is one of my favorites from when I was young.

Thanks for the heads-up! See you in the discussion forum.

message 226: by Michele (new)

Michele New member here - I've read 52 out of 167, and there were a few more that I started reading and didn't finish for whatever reason. So not too bad I think :)

message 227: by Shannon (new)

Shannon Haddock I've only read 11 of them and 32 are on my to read list already. I'm sure I'll add more if I actually go through the list though, because just skimming it quickly I saw books I'd never heard of before.

message 228: by Laz (new)

Laz the Sailor (laz7) As of today, I've read 22/171.

Interesting as I've marked over 300 scifi books read. Our shelves don't overlap much. I need to investigate this further.

message 229: by L.E. (new)

L.E. Watson So far I’ve read 17 out of the list (although there were several books that I started and never finished because I didn’t like them - I wasn’t sure whether to count those!)

message 230: by Papaphilly (new)

Papaphilly 40 read and 9 I want to read. I did this before I joined. I tend not to join challenges. I read whatever catches my attention when it catches my attention. I find it more enjoyable that way.

message 234: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 3915 comments I'm at 32. I'm thinking of pushing myself to hit 100 next year. There are worse things than reading 70 sci-fi and fantasy books!

Kim, how long have you been working on this list? I imagine it would take me several years to read all of them.

message 235: by Kim (new)

Kim | 1499 comments Sarah wrote: "Kim, how long have you been working on this list? I imagine it would take me several years to read all of them."

Well I've been part of this group for 4 years and joined in on the majority of monthly reads. A lot of group books I'd read before joining as well. This year was mopping up the remainder.

message 236: by Hank (new)

Hank (hankenstein) | 1230 comments Midnight Riot gets the random honor of being number 100 read on my list. More than half which is great. I doubt I will ever read all of them, there are a few I just don't want to spend time on like the Dr. Who book.

Plus, now that I have been doing the challenge, I have a ton of series that I am dying to continue with, too many books, too little time....

message 237: by Ilona (last edited Nov 12, 2014 05:18PM) (new)

Ilona (Ilona-s) | 77 comments I have read 55/172. I will probably use this list to read more SF and fantasy since I should probably be more picky with YA titles and read less of them.

message 238: by Louise (new)

Louise | 23 comments I have read 79 of them. All before joining this group because I only joined today. Of the ones I haven't read, the vast majority are on my to-be-read list.

message 239: by Melora (last edited Nov 13, 2014 10:00AM) (new)

Melora | 1 comments I counted 25 out of 173, assuming I'm looking at the right list. I saw several that on on my "to read" list, though, and others that I may now add to that (already absurd) list!

(and I can bump myself up to 30 if I count books I read so long ago that I remember nothing but a title!)

message 240: by Gianfranco (new)

Gianfranco Mancini | 57 comments 23/173 for now.

message 241: by Silvana (new)

Silvana (silvaubrey) | 2790 comments 28 read.
18 to-read/wishlist.

message 242: by Sandi (new)

Sandi | 145 comments I have finished this years challenge with 42 and have read/reread 65 total from the bookshelf. I really like the diversity of the books selected and through this group have found a few more favorite authors. AS many of you have already commented, the downside is the number of followup books is threatening to drown me or bankrupt me.

message 243: by Jim (new)

Jim | 37 comments I'm currently at 77/175. So not bad overall - the list has a LOT of great books, and many I intend to get to.

Unfortunately, I just never seem to have much time. I've managed only 6 club reads so far this year - just too many other good books out there!

message 244: by Sally (new)

Sally | 4 comments 30/177 with 20 or so on my shelves waiting. Luckily Santa is, of course, bringing me books. Great list btw. I've found some excellent reads here. Thanks!

message 245: by Kim (new)

Kim | 1499 comments I have now read every one of the groups book choices. The group has read some great books, and some not so great, and I look forward to seeing what the future choices are.

Jamie Maltman (jamiemaltman) | 62 comments Kim wrote: "I have now read every one of the groups book choices. The group has read some great books, and some not so great, and I look forward to seeing what the future choices are."

Wow. Impressed. Mine has recently been bolstered by some of my own reading, and some of your adds of books I've read in the past. :D But I'm far, far behind you.

message 247: by KristenR (new)

KristenR (klrenn) | 124 comments I'm reading my last book for this year's challenge (The Snow Queen), and that will put me at 106/177.

I figure if I keep reading 30 club books a year I will eventually catch up ;)

Part of me really wants to read every single book on the list (so cool that you did that, Kim!) but there are a few books that I'm not particularly interested in reading, so we'll see how that goes....

message 248: by Overbooked ✎ (new)

Overbooked ✎ (kiwi_fruit) I'm new, 34 read in the list and 28 present in my TBR. I'm working my way through the list, hopefully I will have read more by the end of 2015.

My goal is to increase my percentage of books read from the shelf each year. I am ending this year at 30%.
