Anything by the poet Gabriela Mistral (although not many of her books are translated).

Emma, YES!! This is allende's best book. Don't think the newest ones are as good. Read the older ones (Daughter of Fortune and Portrait in Sepia)and Paula. These are good but not as good as HOS!
