http://offbeat-ya.blogspot.it/

-About (Topic, style of content, release schedule, what genres do cover, is it even a book blog, pretty much sell yourself here)
This is a YA review blog. The title pretty much sums it up...I started my blog because I felt there were so many wonderful but often overlooked books out there, and I wanted to give them a spotlight. On occasion, I may review largely popular books too (e.g.: Anna Dressed in Blood), but it doesn't happen often. Genres are Afterlife, Supernatural, Sci-Fi, Multiverse, Thriller, Contemporary and a little Adult; I also have a Christopher Pike section. No Romance, Historical, Christian and Erotica. If you're looking for something in particular, I did my best in order to make the blog easy to navigate, with sections (called "Rooms"), tags (or "Categories") and a Search Box. I try to post at least once a week.

-Do you do any unique series? Something other than reviews?
My unique feature are my "offbeat" reviews...Other than that, I participate in a meme called "Book Blogger Confessions", co-hosted by For What It's Worth and Midnyte Reader. That's all for now, but I may consider adding more features in the future...it will depend on my home/working schedule and on the visitors' input...

-Contact information (Email? Facebook? Twitter?)
For now, you can message me here...My email is kind of hidden in my policy (see blog) ;). Sorry, no FB or T or G+.

Thank you Cain for this form!

In my quest to make this thread worth its weight, time to start giving some constructive attention!

Stephanie, I really can't find much wrong with your blog! Easy to navigate, not harsh on the eyes, fonts that don't resemble a drunk toddler's handwriting... However, there are two things that I'd suggest looking at.

First, you may want to consider creating a page to list all the reviews you've done, or add a search function. Or both. Either would help to quickly find content.

Second, your side bar is REALLY full. You may want to look at it, see if you need everything on it. If so, perhaps consider a change of layout. Not sure if having the archives stashed all the way at the bottom is the best.

Other than that, I can't find any glaring issues! Of course, I am not the person you should be seeking for advice.

Goodnight, and read a good book!

I like the simplicity of the layout, and I can't really see anything to criticize about it. My two cents will be the sidebar seems a little empty (maybe it's also because you've only just started so there aren't many posts yet) so there's a lot of black space that seems a pity to waste. I think a blog button, maybe also a sorting of posts by genre, might spruce things up :)

Lance (sportsbookguy) Title: The Guy Who Reviews Sports Books

Address: http://sportsbookguy.blogspot.com/

Topic: Reviews of books about sports or where a sport or game is the central theme. For example, I reviewed A Pitch For Justice, which was a legal drama but it was a case where a pitcher hit a batter in the head and was charged with murder. I do not review stories such as romances where a character happens to be an athlete. Non-fiction and fiction for any sport is welcomed. Occasionally I may also post a muse or question to get a discussion going...or to keep it active if I am working on a long book!

No series or anything like that...the blog has been up for two weeks.

I am willing to be a guest blogger if my topic of sports is relevant

-About: "Rants, reviews, and other wacky hijinks of a snarky young writer", as the tagline goes. My blog is centered around book reviews, but it's also a general writing blog, a place for discussion about literary and pop culture pet peeves and to talk about my own journey as an amateur writer as well. I try to put my own unique, sarcastic spin on things, but mostly I reserve the snark for "so bad it's good" material.

-Do you do any unique series? Something other than reviews?: My blog isn't dedicated to any particular series or genre; so far my early reviews have largely centered around one genre in particular, but that's what I happened to be reading at the time. I'm striving for greater diversity in both book genre and blog content.

Besides book reviews, I also post about aspects of writing, reading, movies, and a few random topics. Eventually I plan on doing at least one "sporking"/chapter-by-chapter recap of a novel in the future as well.

I'm still fairly new at this so I'm still working out an exact posting schedule, but I plan on having at least one weekly feature ("Flash Fiction Fridays"), plan on posting at least twice a week, with at least two new book reviews per month.

-About: I’m using my blog to chronicle my memoir writing and highlight various scenes from my story. My Story "Chasing Shadows": Missing in America for the past 45 years, brother Rich mysteriously reappears along with his '66 GTO convertible and coerces me to retrace the cross-country route he took back in '70 to settle in a commune in Corrales, New Mexico.

With me taking control behind the wheel and him in the passenger seat, I recreate some of his experiences as a flower child/Jesus freak. We visit places like The Badlands, Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Yellowstone, The Grand Tetons, the Haight/Ashbury District, Yosemite, The Grand Canyon and Zion National Park in an attempt to understand the life he chose, which was so drastically different from mine.

Along the way we relive memories of the brief 18 years we shared growing up in the absence of our alcoholic father in a struggling single-parent household of five kids. In exploring our relationship, I confront several personal issues surrounding the role Rich played in shaping who I am and the impact his disappearance has had on my life.
