Yvonne Jocks | 26 comments I've often told friends "I don't live in real time" (which is why I'm late and forget birthdays so often). But that still doesn't excuse me taking so long to find the time-travel forum on GoodReads. HELLO!

My name's Yvonne Jocks, aka Von. I've published under that and under the name Evelyn Vaughn. I've been a time-travel fan since before the days of VOYAGERS!, but only this year started publishing time travel novels of my own.

I live in Texas with dogs and cats and imaginary friends... lots of imaginary friends. And I teach writing at the community college level. But please don't hold that against me--I promise not to correct anyone's grammar.

I can't wait to start hearing everyone's recommendations and commentary on current books. Thanks, especially, to the people who've created these topics. There goes more time to time travel... like I mind!

E.B. Brown (ebbrown) | 320 comments Hi Yvonne! Very nice to meet you! Glad you found us ;) Hey, and no worries, I take no offense to a little grammar correction now and then...me & my sticky fingers, well, we need a push in the right direction, haha!

Welcome, Von.

Howard Loring (howardloringgoodreadscom) | 1177 comments Welcome as well Von, but I see no book listed on your profile page.

Any hints?

We have the Time.

Yvonne Jocks | 26 comments Thank you for the welcome, John! E.B., I think I will love you forevermore for your subtle VOYAGERS! reference there :-) And Howard... uh oh. I need to figure out how to connect my book(s) to my profile page. The current series is OVERTIME (*cough* book 1, "Searching," free thru Wednesday *cough*). But you are quite right. We have all the Time in the world!

Well, the concept was intriguing enough for me to grab a free copy to add to my extremely long TBR list. Will I ever catch up on my reading list?

message 7: by Yvonne (new)

Yvonne Jocks | 26 comments Woot! Thank you, John. If your TBR list is like mine, we may NEED time travel to get through all of it. If only our personal time lines could be extended....

Paul | 341 comments Welcome, Yvonne! I also left you a note where I first saw your name in Beth's "South Jersey" thread, also a friendly place to be. Good to have you in this fast-growing group. Who could have imagined there are so many of us TT fans?

Paul Sherman

Yvonne Jocks | 26 comments Hi, Paul! I'm touched by the welcoming, positive vibe in this forum, and wonder how I didn't find my way here earlier? Back when I read TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE, I *needed* to talk to people about it, the way one needs to eat or breathe :-)

See you at Beth's!

Loved the Time Traveler's Wife! And I must say, that was one book-to-movie adaptation that did not disappoint me. Good book, good flick.

Yvonne Jocks | 26 comments I wasn't wholly happy with the "vanishing" effect in the movie of Time Traveler's Wife... to me, it kind of looked like Henry was being eaten away. But maybe that was the point! The actors did a great job, and the writers with what must've been a crazy scripting experience (though less crazy than the writing... do you think she used index cards and thread to keep track?) Brilliant, brilliant work.
