Corinne “Luc” Lucas resides underground with the rest of the surviving humans, still recovering from the war and the undead’s claim to power. She is an unlikely Recruit training to be a Blood Keeper when she challenges Monstrum’s truths head-on. Luc never thought they would turn her into a weapon. She never thought she would learn what she learned. She never thought her blood would turn vampires to ash.
My debut YA paranormal, dystopian-apocalyptic novel, The Blood Keeper's Prophecy, is available for Kindle for $2.99. Your support is appreciated and it’s this kind of encouragement that keeps indie authors fighting in the trenches.

5 Star Review for The Blood Keeper's Prophecy on Amazon:
I rarely feel inclined to leave feedback on Amazon, but The Blood Keeper's Prophecy brought me out of hiding.
To me, the protagonist Luc, is great. She has the archetype that incorporates self-reliability, and putting other's before she herself. Some may not find her a heroine, but I would totally disagree. Poor girl has been taught one way of life, only to have it flipped over in an instant. Of course she might be a little resistant to trust and constant questioning! I think she makes a fantastic hero because she's discovering not only truths in her life, but also about the person she's becoming. Yeah, cool.
I also enjoyed the descriptive world of Monstrum and all of its strange creatures - its so refreshing from other Fantasy/Adventures I've read recently. There are a lot of characters, but the author does a great job at giving each one a specific tone and personality that, for me, leaves many of them unforgettable.
Reading through the first part of the book reminded me much of what I felt when reading HP1 (if I can remember back that far, weird) - in the sense that it's not quick paced as the rest of the book (except for the first chapter!) and a lot of time is spent delicately setting up the world of Monstrum and Luc's misfortunate predicaments - all of which is building for a surprising punch full of action for the rest of the book.
Going along with that, I also like the quick pace of the writing and Luc's inner monologues that really kept my attention and the book flowing, (reminding me somewhat of Katniss from THG). But the four main characters are the highlight of the book itself. They are so different and unique, yet they complement one another so well, it left me wanting similar relationships in my life. Wahh, loner.
Anyway, the book definitely took me places that I did not see coming, which is really important to me in a book. It has plenty of surprising twists of events and crisis that left me hanging on every word. (Which, mind you, making it really hard to not spill all the deets here and now.) And just when I thought I knew how it was going to end...yeah, total surprise.
I don't know, I just feel a lot of Fantasy/Adventures today are in one form or another missing something that ties the book together, but TBKP is exactly what I've been looking for. Definitely going to throw this out at book club next week! I wonder how long until book 2?!
