Fran | 12278 comments I am half way done. It seems like other YA I've read - bitchy, shallow, mean girls in high school, guys who just want to get laid, 'bad-boy' who is really just misunderstood.....

I haven't read Slammed so I can't compare it to that but so far it feels like a bunch of other books I've read.

Fran | 12278 comments I felt the same way Bre!

Last 25% of the book finally drew me in. I also enjoyed Noah and his relationship with his brothers more than Echo and her story. Hated her friends, the ridiculous appearances they had to keep up, their rudeness, insensitivity, I could go on. And Echo wanting to fit back in with them- ugh.

I was disappointed with the way Echo's mom's storyline played out. To have her be bi-polar and depressed is fine, but to then turn her into that demon at the end....it just didn't mesh with Echo's good memories of her past with her mom, the caring and fun mom.(view spoiler). And I hated her dad. And Ashley (view spoiler). His explanation for their relationship is that 'life happens'. Really? And your daughter is supposed to just accept that?

Fran | 12278 comments I felt like they were both trying to use her at the beginning to get what they wanted from her but it turned into a real need on their part to trust someone. Probably a little unrealistic, but because Mrs. Collins was one of the only characters I actually liked it the book, I was ok with it :)

Fran | 12278 comments I actually did cry a bit during the scene towards the end with Noah and the foster parents and his brothers. The best part of the book for me. But I cry at everything!

I would love to start Falling anytime you are ready!
