Does anyone have any suggestions to the August BAP challenge?
We can
So... are you ready to try to read 75 books in August? Who's with me?

How about everyone who wants to join in suggest something they really want to do?

Yes, I like it. I wanted to be rebeld and go to your thread and state that I will be participating too, but helas, RL got in the way and didn't let me invade you.

I'm Emy, I live in England and I'm a creative writing PhD student. I love reading. :D
I'm planning on reading 80 books and my shelf is called nbrc-tower-teams-cadet-blue. Now I just need to add all the qualifying books to the shelf! :)
Edit: Added 24 books to my shelf. There was one other that had enough pages that I finished after April 12th but, alas, I started it in February so it didn't count.

*whispers to Emy*
We only validate finish date for this round, so as long as you finish the book after April 12th, it counts.
Right Lisa Kay?

*snort* I think you just enjoy keeping everyone on their toes!

I'm so sorry I have not been around lately to lend an encouraging word or motivational speech or any sort of support! You all seem to be doing just fine on your own but I still feel a little obligated to make sure everyone is still enjoying themselves and keeping up with their reading and so on! Hope all is well with everyone.
I like your ideas (that you've had so far) for your August Challenge!

Please join Wild Blue Yonder - one of Hogwart's teams on a Wild Magical Ride with us.

Ok 2 things.
First, Gwendolyn's invite: I'm a big HP fan and I don't re-read the books for a while, so I'm sooo joining this one *inner fan squeals all over the place*

The August Challenge.
Since I had some free time on work a.k.a. I have a task ahead of me that I don't want to do, my brain started thinking.
So, I'm not sure if is ok or not, LK you'll have to aprove this, since I'm using one of our challenges as inspiration. How about doing a all-about-the-team sort of challenge?
1)Our team's name is CADET BLUE - this one is pretty easy, just a traditional spell-it-out for all the fans in our team
2)Our team's color is BLUE - read a book with a blue color
3)Our team's theme for the RaT was Books in Uniform. I like this one so much, why not to repeat it.
4)"Behind friendly lines" - "steal" a book from a cadet blue's member shelf.
5)

I only thought about this ones... but wanted to post them to the team to begin discussion and strategy and stuff

Yes, but I'm biased to my own ideas *naughty smile*

For example:
Jex loves Dystopia and Lk loves Historical Fiction so you have to read a book in one of those categories (but it would be one genre from each team member that submits one)

Of course, my favorite is Historical Romance, something you might not want to read. Though, right now I would really like to find a bunch of historical mysteries.

A decision has been made regarding the use of juvenile/children's/middle grade books for Round II. We have decided that we will accept all non-picture books equal to and greater than 160 pages. Little children's books are still not acceptable (for example:
As you are reading your book, think about the following: does it seem like there are 250 words per page? How many pages have you read in 15 minutes - is it more than normal? When you tag your book look at the other editions - does that version's page numbers look similar to the others. If you have a question, ask in the Page Numbers, Just About Page Numbers... and we will help you out.
For all electronic books (ebook/Kindle/audio) that do not have an equivalent print copy on goodreads, they will still be verified for a word count. In situations where electronic books vary by 100 pages to print editions, those will also be verified.
The Moderators and Countess Paige will still be conducting random spot checks. We reserve the right of veto power over some books, specifically ‘gift books’, ‘novelty books’, or ‘coffee table books’.
Thank you for your time and understanding!
