Since I already read mine, yours will also counts :o)

*giggles*

Drat! You pic didn't stay around long enough for me to see it.

Btw, I'm going to filter through August spreadsheet to put books into categories, and then will check on the non-participant team members.
I'm hoping to have some results later tonight

Team goal of 600. ☺
Thanks for the pics! I can see them now.

I am about half way done with

It is due to the library in three days and its an Ebook so I have to finish it. Its been a busy few days with the start of teacher inservice.
Thanks, Sonia for the welcome.
I go for my DR's check up today, so I won't be on until either late this evening or tomorrow.

I'll add the non-participant books later today, will start with Laura because I know that she has read this month's BOM *giggles*

If I'm mistaken, please forgive me Lady Baroness, I'll gladly step out and reduce myself to my place.
If anybody wants to step in, go ahead, I'll share :o)
Anyway, the thread on the sister group is still in a beginners state, I'm planning start working on it as soon as August's is under control.

More encryption puzzles are coming from this Captain of Pain.
You might need some help, or a bit of Novocain.
If you need a hint, for any quote or spell,
what letter you desire, be sure to tell.
Redeem a “Blinkie” cupcake you have earned.
Choose wisely, to help you decipher and discern.
Will it take only one, two, or three?
To set you on the right path, it’s such a small fee.
We don’t want those cupcakes to go to waste.
Consider logically where the “t” could be placed.
Or maybe you’ll want an altogether different choice.
It’s important, as there are no hints that have voice.
For the clue to be helpful, Captain Cupcake must know,
to reveal from the alphabet what you want him to show.
With each submission, be sure to make clear,
which letter from this Captain you want to hear!
See, we don’t want your cupcakes going to waste.
So tell us the letter for which you’d like a taste.
It’s almost like magic: a “Blinkie” for a hint,
to earn a “bouncing” or “Triple Threat.” That’s a “Blinkie” well spent!![]()

Also, hi, Laura! Nice to meet you.

I've read somewhere that we have to read 1/3 of the books for the 1st challenge: A Book a Day Keeps the Boredom at Bay Reading Challenge
That seems really hard.
finished

Have you see my crazy September plan? Something we'll be able to take from there :o)

1) first book of a series - easy, or one word title - coraline or bitten apply
2) romance book - also easy
9)a post-apocalyptic future - either the eternity cure or kate daniels apply
17) Is a book set in Japan, we have Ink for that :)
And we can double each sub-option.

@Sonia: I was totally fired up at some point & started looking through my September books and I
My personal goal for September is to read at least 16 books :)
Oh! Just read the thread again *lol* -> "Goals & % will depend on the number of participants" totally missed that :)

We still need to know how many team members want to participate for books and goals. I know I have a few Brazilian & Portuguese authors on my shelf to fit #10 if needed :)

You are a genius! If you put it that way it seems easy.

Good news! My doctor says everything still looks good. I have another check up in two months and then I won't have to go as often. Hormones are still a bit out of wack, but hopefully we can get that taken care of soon.
I look forward to helping out the team. I feel a little overwhelmed with all of these challenges, though. I am a bit confused as to what is what.

Oh Sonia yes. Thank you. Oo also sent me an email with the link. And now my team has all reassured me that they are all alive. The guilt trip worked, which was not my intention. I was just playing around.

YAY for the good news!!!

I'll hope you be back on track soon :o)
Yes, the TTRC can be a little overwhelming! Too much happening at the same time.
OK, so do you remember May's read-a-thon? It was the fist mod challenge to earn Book Advantage Points (BAP).
Next LK come out with the 7% in 7 challenge for June& July.
In August the mods took the month off, but the teams had to come with their own challenge in order to win BAP's. Ours is the "All about us in 9 steps" , since we were only 9 active members when the challenge begun to take shape. We then adapted it to meet Christine and Emy, since they arrived to the team before the deadline.
For September, the mods challenge for BAP it will be a set of 3 challenges:
1)A book a day keeps the boredom at bay
2) an A to Z challenge (teams got to choose their own)
3) a NBRC challenge (teams go to choose their own)
percentage and goals will be decided by the number of participants per team. Also 1/3 of percentage will have to be for each challenge (I think, I haven't read the last revision to the rules with care)
October will be a read-a-thon - not the whole month - I'm thinking on 2 weeks but is not official yet. Since the BAP challenges had a little controversy between team captains, I'll probably will choose some "beta testers" to look at it before releasing.
November will not have a BAP challenge.
To add to all this we have the mini-challenges and games, that can earn us cupcakes to redeem - Lisa Kay can explain that better than me.

You were playing and I tried to play too, but they didn't play along
*tantrum face*
*giggles*

Thanks Sonia for the detailed explanation!

If that wasn't enough, my computer kept dying on me for no good reason. Ugh. It seems okay now but I'm not sure what was up with that. So, after it would die, I'd just leave it off for the evening and let it cool down and rest. Maybe it needed a time out, I don't know.
Anyway, I'm giving Sonia access to edit the team spreadsheet so she can catch up your August challenge stats. So sorry for not being able to get in touch!

Yes, you are correct, Sonia! Thank you for taking it on.
Luckily, that was one message I was able to read right now but I can't catch up much because now I have to get ready for work, boo hoo. Dreaded inventory count today, ew. Anyway, I'll keep looking for a PM from you with your email so I can permit you to edit the spreadsheet!
Sonia asked if I wanted help with the August challenge tracking for you guys and I'm so glad she did because I was going to ask her since my internet and computer decided to hate me this week.

I am about half way through

Its okay. I don't like it as much as I do other subject matter. Maybe that is why it is taking so long for me to read it.
