But I don't want to leave you out of the fun,
so you'll get an opportunity, too, at those NOT done.

I'll give extra hours to Banana Mania, Forest Green, and Pewter & Cadet Blue,
who also has a lot of members who are new, too.

Sorry guys, I have had a terrible couple of days. I had to schedule a Doctor Appt. for Monday. I haven't gotten much reading done and I miss it. I am resting today. YAY for Saturday's and I am hoping to get some reading done and catch up.

Are you back to work already, Laura? If so, how did it go?

I am back at work. It went well, I have just been extremely busy. I think that the stress may have triggered the illness that I am currently feeling.

Then I hope it is a no stress week-end for you, Laura.

I am a terrible person, I haven't read anything for a whole week. /sobs Been trying to get over this chest infection I've had for four weeks. Guh.

Still working on , but thinking about starting something shorter in the meantime whilst I feel so icky.

I know I'm late for a team update. Sorry, but work has been busy this past few days... I've been around and reading most of the threads, just haven't had time (or mindset) to work on our fun stuff yet.

Will be back to normal in a day or two.

Oh, that is so wonderful, Christine! I want a dog... very badly. But, I'm thinking I should wait until I move to something smaller and make sure I have a yard. **sigh**

BTW, I'm working my way though our bookshelves and redeeming cupcakes. I cashed in one "Triple Threat" and three "chunksters" using Emy's books yesterday. Plus, three of Christine's for "chunksters."

Today for "Triple Threats" I used one of Sonia's and two of Sarah's. For "chunksters" I used six of Catherine's, three of Jessica's (TheEvangelineLily), five of Laura's, and one of Jessica W's.

Yay! (Hopefully they will all be approved and give us 21 more BAPs.

If any of you want to help do the puzzles that would be wonderful. The puzzles for September are here . I already did #131 & #134. However, we need the "Spot the Differences" series done.

Thanks Lisa Kay!I never understand the redeeming cupcakes although I must confess I have yet to look at the rules with big care.

So I arrived home almost at 10 PM tired, hungry and with an headache but I wanted to read . I am without words and wanted to hit something or someone too. The book was even better than the first one, I'm going to give it 5 stars.... and write a furious letter to JK demanding the next one right now and asking her HOW CAN SHE DO THAT KIND OF THING TO HER CHARACTERS...

With regards to “Cutthroat Competitor Cupcakes,” 350,000 words = 1,400 pages.

However, keep in mind that for some of the longer books they squeeze more words on per page. We go by word count first, when we can find it, then refer to WorldCat.

Sooooo... that is why sometimes you will see an 800 or 900 page book count as a “Cutthroat Competitor.”

yes, that's the cover :) poor book has no cover on GR.

I finished last night. Huge cliffhanger...which is annoying. But that seems to be the trend these days. Get you interested in the characters, then put the actual action in book 2. We'll see what happens with it. Of course book 2 isn't available until 2014....
