Yep, I knew Teresa's Matt Bomer crush would pay off somehow."

*SNORT!* I'm so behind on this thread and this is one of the first posts I saw as I tried to catch up. Well, this and Steven dropping books because of Matt Bomer. Hahahaha, gave me a good giggle.

Don't forget 2 and 3! Might as well take the whole handful, eh?

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Did you notice #4 has two puppies? One for me.

message 1309: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments You can have two and three. :P They don't do it for me!

message 1310: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments you were talking about the puppies, right? *naughty grin*

message 1311: by Steven (new)

Steven (gallifreyan1218) | 5272 comments No the men... Puppies definitely don't do it for me!

Indeed!!!

I have mild car sick and sometimes when the bus is too jumpy and with a lot of turns is the only way I can read - and it also helps me abstract of the bumpy ride... I have to do a 20m bus + 30m second bus ride every day, twice a day. The way I see it? is a 2 hours of audio-reading everyday :o)

I need to play catch with our September challenge this week. We probably already got there... I read 6 books this month!!! I have to read 3, I think, so I made for Laura's

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments OCTOBER PLANNINGS

My suggestion for the step order is as follows (feel free to add your two cents):

step #1: Theme #2: Masters of Horror (?) - Dean Koontz (?)
1 book

step #2: Theme #8: creatures
2 books

step #3: Theme #9: halloween covers
3 books

step #4: Theme #10: abilities
4 books

step #5: A Spell-it-out theme
5 books

Lisa Kay, since you plan your books in advance, any suggestion for the spell-it-out option? Since Christine, Jessica and I read a lot of UF books we can cover steps 2 and 4, so you can match the spell-it-out to your books if you want.

Are you still planning on reading the Koontz book? Can we use it to step#1, or should I replace the step?

message 1318: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 15159 comments Alright, let me work on the Spell-It-Out. Yes, I plan on reading - or listening to - a Koontz book.

message 1319: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Cool. Save it for after the 4th then :)

The Dead Girls' Dance (The Morganville Vampires, #2) by Rachel Caine Grave Sight (Harper Connelly, #1) by Charlaine Harris Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews

Extra possibilities (I can add one/two more depending on the "readability" of the chosen book):

The Body Finder (The Body Finder, #1) by Kimberly Derting Half Black Soul (The Alexa Montgomery Saga, #2) by H.D. Gordon My Soul to Take (Soul Screamers, #1) by Rachel Vincent Tangled Threads (Elemental Assassin, #4) by Jennifer Estep Pretty When She Dies (Pretty When She Dies, #1) by Rhiannon Frater The Renfield Syndrome (Rhiannon's Law, #2) by J.A. Saare Summer Knight (The Dresden Files, #4) by Jim Butcher Hexed (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #2) by Kevin Hearne

(they all fit several categories)

Our team is going to do GHOST, as Barb already has to spell that out for another challenge she's in. :)

I needed a clown picture.. I was scared before even hitting google search *shudders*

That's the reason I never saw/will read It. That and because I can't read Stephen King.

message 1326: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (thebookcellar) | 102 comments I will see what books I can do for October. I will probably stick to kindle books for the read-a-thon since I can fly through those. Do we know how many Christine has read? That way I can help complete her level as well. :)

I am dreading reading that one by King... I've seen parts of the movie... I broke a television and the remote control at that one... I threw the remote at the tv and ran out of the room when I was a kid. Let's just say after they got over their anger at the broken expensive TV, they laughed at me a TON!

message 1331: by Lisa Kay (new)

message 1332: by Sonia (last edited Sep 26, 2013 08:34AM) (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments No problem. I'm planning to go straight home after the gym today and work on the challenge - I haven't update mine either :(

But we are on yellow alert due to bad weather with strong possibility to go orange during the night, so, I'm crossing my fingers to no blackout today. My laptop is fully charged, but the router (therefore internet connection) needs power to function.

I knew I had bought a nexus with 3g connection for a reason :)

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) | 226 comments Clowns are evil!!

And scary!!

And creeepy! So creepy they require three e's!

That is all...

I'm 17/18 books towards my goal; however, I should finished two or three more books before the end of September. Only thing is, I'm not in the mood for either of my "E" books that I had set up to spell H.E.D.G.E.H.O.G. - Oh, well!

message 1347: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments I can do the "H". I am only 12% on Hounded, and have Hexed, in case I give in and can't wait. :)

message 1348: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments So, is you, me, Christine and Jessica.
Since Christine is on puppie issues and only can read 2 books. That leaves 13 to the rest of us.

I'll set up the threads on the sister group so each of us can start planning...

message 1349: by Sonia (new)

Sonia (darktalynn) | 11599 comments Threads created:

event #2
