I have mild car sick and sometimes when the bus is too jumpy and with a lot of turns is the only way I can read - and it also helps me abstract of the bumpy ride... I have to do a 20m bus + 30m second bus ride every day, twice a day. The way I see it? is a 2 hours of audio-reading everyday :o)

My suggestion for the step order is as follows (feel free to add your two cents):


step #1: Theme #2: Masters of Horror (?) - Dean Koontz (?)
1 book

step #2: Theme #8: creatures
2 books

step #3: Theme #9: halloween covers
3 books

step #4: Theme #10: abilities
4 books

step #5: A Spell-it-out theme
5 books

Lisa Kay, since you plan your books in advance, any suggestion for the spell-it-out option? Since Christine, Jessica and I read a lot of UF books we can cover steps 2 and 4, so you can match the spell-it-out to your books if you want.

Are you still planning on reading the Koontz book? Can we use it to step#1, or should I replace the step?

Alright, let me work on the Spell-It-Out. Yes, I plan on reading - or listening to - a Koontz book.

Witch, Broom, Kitty, Ghost, Skull, Spell, Curse, Candy, Demon, Devil, Eerie, Beast, Alien, Dread, Spook, Treat, Trick, Troll, Scare, Prank, Party, Fangs, Fears, Carve, Magic, Evils, Ogres, Genie, Crypt, Cloak, Clown (shudders ugh!), Grave, Ghoul, Night, Ninja, Weres, Robot, Mummy, Hocus, Pocus... and those are just the five letter words :D

Looking into my plan for the 4th-19th I have



Extra possibilities (I can add one/two more depending on the "readability" of the chosen book):

That's the reason I never saw/will read It. That and because I can't read Stephen King.

I will see what books I can do for October. I will probably stick to kindle books for the read-a-thon since I can fly through those. Do we know how many Christine has read? That way I can help complete her level as well. :)

I am dreading reading that one by King... I've seen parts of the movie... I broke a television and the remote control at that one... I threw the remote at the tv and ran out of the room when I was a kid. Let's just say after they got over their anger at the broken expensive TV, they laughed at me a TON!

No problem. I'm planning to go straight home after the gym today and work on the challenge - I haven't update mine either :(

But we are on yellow alert due to bad weather with strong possibility to go orange during the night, so, I'm crossing my fingers to no blackout today. My laptop is fully charged, but the router (therefore internet connection) needs power to function.

I knew I had bought a nexus with 3g connection for a reason :)

@Sonia Would you like some help for the October challenge? I can help keep track of everyone's books and anything else you need. :) October is pretty low key for me this year since I only have one class. I also plan on reading a lot during the read-a-thon.

Hiya! Sorry I've been MIA, I've started work on my PhD now (Friday 20th) so have been reading text books, haha. I need to start reading more fiction soon.

Haha, I know, I can hardly believe it myself. It's an amazing thing and I'm really excited, but it's cutting into my reading time more than I thought it would! :O

But yes, I'm still around! Just slower than before. :)

Finally, I updated Post #10 in the "sister group" for the September Challenge. I'm 17/18 books towards my goal; however, I should finished two or three more books before the end of September. Only thing is, I'm not in the mood for either of my "E" books that I had set up to spell H.E.D.G.E.H.O.G. - Oh, well!
