Adventure Reading discussion

Thanks to Marcie for the recommendation of Laura Hillenbrand's Unbroken. I gave it 5 stars and would like to hear other opinions. In looking over the Goodreads reviews it seems the people who were less thrilled with it already knew the story, were familiar with Louis Zamperini, or were intent on comparing it to Seabiscuit. But it was all new to me (and I haven't read Seabiscuit) so I was blown away from start to finish. I don't know if adventure is the right word for it but the book portrays some monumental experiences.
