Amber (upulkuchen) | 7 comments Hi all! I'm a twenty year old Christian poet, who released her first collection through a Christian published (eLectio publishing) in November. It's been exceedingly hard getting the message out about the collection, which deals with honestly tackling one's anger towards God, and so I am trying to put together a book blog tour for May or June (depending on when/how many people sign up to host).

Essentially, what a book blog tour is:
A blogger chooses a day to 'host' the tour. I will give to that blogger requested material- a signed book copy, a poster, a guest post, an interview, an unpublished poem on a specific topic, etc. The blogger posts that material on the tour date, and I will promote their blog for that day (and the whole month on both my blog and my website).

The best kinds of blogs for this would be religious blogs, religious book blogs, poetry blogs and writing blogs (I can contribute to the conversation on any of those!)

Please PM me if you are interested.

Kathy Golden | 28 comments Amber,
I just visited the link I gave you, and I saw that it doesn't review poetry. You may still be able to promote your book through interviews. In addition, my friend just released a book including a list of places that do blog post and reviews. If you visit her book's Amazon page and click on the "Look inside feature," in the preview, you'll see links to places for blogs and reviews. Here's that link:

Let me know if you are still looking for more information, and I'll send you whatever I come across that may help. If you could send me a personal email, I think I have a list of Christian links I have been collecting, and I'll send them to you.
Kathy

Carlene Havel (chch) | 29 comments When I was looking for something else, I found some websites that say they review poetry. That's not my genre, so I can't vouch for these folks. But for what it's worth: http://www.constantcritic.com/ and
www.poetrypreviews.com

T.C. Spellen (tcspellen) | 4 comments I have a question. Is a book tour the same as a virtual book tour? And if not, what's the difference?

Wendy H. (wendyhjones) | 8 comments A book tour is one where you physically tour the country going to different venues such as bookshops and talking about and signing copies of your book. A virtual book tour happens online

Amber (upulkuchen) | 7 comments I thought I had put 'book blog tour' in the title, but yes, I'm talking about a virtual book tour.
