Laurie (nerdogical) | 7 comments Yay! I read this in middle-school, but I'm excited to approach it again!

Tim | 22 comments The audiobook starts with some twee music, but the narrator is excellent.

Vanessa Kittle (vkittle) | 12 comments ah this is the only original Tolkien work I haven't read. Saving it for death bed reading!

Tim | 22 comments I found the structure a bit repetitive. Rover(andom) basically meets someone who tells him that he can't help him, he spends some time with them and eventually they suggest he contact someone else. Then that person can't help.

Hyarrowen | 65 comments Such a fun story; and how lovely that it was written to console JRRT's son. He was a good father! I loved the Moon section, and how the seagull reached it, flying along the moon-path. But Rover's plight in the initial stages gave me quite a frisson this time around – what an awful situation to be in. I'm glad the spell was taken off him in the end.
