1)I would probably have to say a book similar to the coming of age story in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants but instead of it being so 'girly', it would about a group of friends who become exposed to partying, drugs, and drinking and how the different teens in the group react to what's happening.
2)This is in no particular order, but Suzanne Collins, Kate Brian, and Michael Grant.
3)I haven't read a book with non-human characters, so I can't really answer that.

2. And no I don't, not a lot of people with those names in my country...
3. I would make a cd with all the songs of which the lyrics describe, him, me, or us. Sad songs, but also happy songs. I'd make a nice booklet with why I chose every single song and decorate it with pictures and drawings. I'd tell him to listen to it whenever he feels lonely, or sad, or just when he feels like listening to it. I think it is something personal and that he appreciates the work put into it, showing that I really love him ;)

A1. Made the mistake of taking someone to see Schindler's list as a first date. We could not even look at each after the movie we were so depressed.
