These are based around bizarre or wacky (but real) holidays. Do as many or a few categories as you like.

April is Keep America Beautiful month - Read a book set in a US State. Preferrably a state that you don't read about often, so you can explore and experience a new state. For example, if you read about New York, Texas or California alot, how about reading a book set in New Hampshire, Oklahoma, or Alaska?

Weekly celebrations: Week 1: Library Week - Easy. Read a library book. If you don't have access to a local library, borrow a book from a friend (or loan one).

Apr 14 - International Moment of Laughter Day - Read a book with an element of humor in it. Something that makes you laugh (even if it's just the silly title).

Apr 15 - Titanic Remembrance Day - Read any book about the Titanic, or any book with a scene that takes place on a boat. (There are several mysteries that take place on cruise ships.)

Apr 26 - Hug an Australian Day - Read a book either set in Australia, or written by an Australian author.

Enjoy and Good luck.

Nell | 1223 comments FYI - I found a link at SYKM to mysteries set in Australia:

http://stopyourekillingme.com/Locatio...

And one on GR listing Australian Authors:

http://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/a...

There are a number of familiar names that I did not know are Australian.

Thanks. I started my Titanic book yesterday mid-afternoon, and ended up reading until 3am.

Urk. Should be an interesting day at work, which starts at 0930. It's now 0830. Again, urk.

The book is really good, though. I couldn't stop reading! Got half-way through.
