Where do you get your books from?
www.allromanceebooks.com is another good one if you like romance. =)I myself am always in the market for new ebook stores :D
My bookstore sucks. I like walking around there but if you want to know something they can't help. When laurell k hamiltons anita Blake series was published the didn't want to order it for me as it's "pornographic and cruel" -.- I order from amazon now
I live in an apartment- not enough room for all the books I'd like. The days all my books are ebooks on my handy dandy laptop. Most readers are free- it's the books you pay for. My sister in law is nervous about going on different sites that they may somehow damage her computer- But I've never had a problem with any book site I've ever visited. I started out with Gutenberg because those books are free and there's a ton of them and branched out from there.

Hello Aleh and everyone else, this is also my first post in this group. To answer the above question... I go to my local library. I have really luck out with the location and selection. If there is a book that is not available they simply will order it for me. As for when I actually have some moola. I will go to one of my new or used book stores to pick up some of my favorites. I lucked out that there is an awesome used book store near the library that will give you a call when the book in question shows up. That really sucks for Carmen about hers! they don't tend to discriminant here thank goodness. I will also from time to time buy them on-line.

Hey Aleh, I use Fictionwise, eBookisle (http://www.ebookisle.com/ -- if you get a 'warning' page from Google, ignore it--the site's fully legit but they evidently have some funky coding on their main page), and I visit the sites of small publishers like Samhain or Mundania Press to buy their ebooks directly. My publisher, Bantam, also has a page in their site listing where all Bantam ebooks can be found (including mine):http://www.randomhouse.com/catalog/di...

Thank you all for your help! I'll check them all out. Its hard to find the Dark Hunter series on ebook. All i really want in life is to get to Acheron. 10 more books to find :)
I am new here but I get my books from either Ebay or Barnes and Noble
First stop for me is the library and then paperbackswap.com or amazon.com then it is a toss up between borders and target.But I would say right now 65% of my books I get from the library I have a great ebook section and a good interloan system.

On that note, I feel blessed that I have a library system that is so wonderful. They usually have the most current books, and they deliver the books right on my doorstep. I treat the library like a free Neflix version for books. I rarely go to the library. I just usually go online, search the books I want and order it. In a matter of days, I get them, and I didn't spend a single penny. Pretty neat, right?

Hello Aleh and welcome to the site. I order my books from amazon. I try and buy the "used" books if they are available. If not I go to Borders. We have a Half Priced Books store here I might try them one day.
Hey, Aleh and welcome!I admit it: My library. I also am the librarian in charge of all fiction ordering so I have an advantage. :) We do order 95% of patron's requests, but alas no e-books yet. They're not borrower friendly.
I usually use Amazon for personal stuff I want to own, but for downloads I head straight ot the publisher's site or All Romance eBook and Fictionwise. They're secure a lot of sites take paypal, and I've never had a problem.

Speaking of NetFlix for books, I discovered www.bookswim.com
It's exactly like Netflix. Not free, but another option rather than purchasing.
I read mine on the Kindle unless they're not available there. Then i get them at B&N, because I still keep a discount card active there.
I have been lucking out and getting alot of books at Goodwill. I have 2 that are close by but one in particular has been getting some really greally paranormal in and usually new looking.

I haven't used it yet, as I am pathetic and just buy them all.
Karen, I read off my mobile all the time from Wattpad. It's all I use it for. I have a BlackBerry, but Wattpad lets you resize the text and change the text and background colors to make it easier on the eyes. If you decide to use it on your phone, go to the "read offline" link, which takes you to a page with links saying full, part 1, part 2, etc. When you hit FULL it takes you to a download page. Once downloaded, an icon should appear on your home screen and you're ready to read! Forego the "download wattpad reader" link--doesn't seem to work from my experience and isn't necessary.
It's great for me for the train, plus I now always have something to read! I generally use it to sample new authors and it's a godsend if you're sitting around twiddling your thumbs.

I have 2 books that I will be burning, they are so bad.
UM: I'd rip them up into teensy weensy pequeno little pieces for its anger management value and then recycle the little shards. Mustn't start a conflagration. Don't want to risk an ashy mote attacking your eyeball. Actually, I just gave some to the library...making bad writing available to everyone, so I shan't suffer alone. Hooray!

Oh, the typos I've suffered through recently! I've desperately wanted to ATTACK my books with a red pen, but I don't think the library would appreciate my diligence.With all the eyes that pass over a book before publication, I shouldn't be finding an error on every third page!
Also, I've read two or three books recently where the characters' names are listed incorrectly in the back cover blurb. Good heavens.
I can understand some errors --perfection is impossible. I have to confess, as the daughter of an English teacher, if I read a back cover blurb that contains errors in spelling or spaces between words are missing, I am significantly less likely to buy the book in question. Superficial of me, perhaps, but if there isn't at least the appearance of care on the cover, for Pete's sake, why should I spend my hard-earned dollars to read a book that is likely to be filled with typos? Sadly, a typo is like putting the brakes on a thought and totally distracts me from the flow of the story.
Sigh. I'm sure I've missed many a great story because I couldn't get past the grammar.
The last couple of books from Ellora's Cave have been horrifically chocked full of errors and it makes me angry! Lora Leigh books...I expect a great story but I also want a FINISHED, POLISHED book. Not books with entire chapters in italics that shouldn't be there. UGH! I've been on the EC soapbox before and I will just step down now.

In college, I worked in an exceedingly quiet office environment where my coworker and I had to find inventive ways to pass the time. One day, we grabbed red pens and the menus for the local take-aways. Needless to say, we both had a ball...and a shortage of red ink afterwards.

I live at the library... so if they don't have it I interlibrary loan it. I'm nearly broke all of the time, so I use the library for all my needs.
Interlibrary loan is a godsend. I haven't made the switch to ebook reader, but what do people prefer?
Are there any that are more affordable than the Kindle yet?
Our library is really behind. We have an ill processing fee... *grumbles*

Hmm some older versions are down to about 250-300, but the newest of each are still at 350+.I love my Sony Reader and am not one bit regretful about getting it :D
Tricia that is good to know. I had planned on the kindle but the more I read about it the more issues I seem to have. Anyway I think I am going to get the PRS 700
This will be my first post in this group. I love this place. You've all inspired me to read tons of new books and authors. So back to my question, I read at work so usually i buy the PDF form of the books from ebooks.com, or diesel e-books. There are tons of books that im dying to read but these places don't have them. (LoL i've written complaints to them) So do you guys know any other places with e-books that have paranormal romance avaliable?
