Welcome to the group Sally! So glad you are enjoying Mark's THE FRIDGULARITY so far. It gets better and stranger as you go...
Are you located in the Poconos? What a small world, so am I!!

I'm just outside of Tobyhanna, off 196. We're neighbors!
I head out towards Newfoundland every year for the GDS fair with the kids and I have to drive through your town to get to I84 to visit my father and brother out in NY!

I'm glad to hear you received a copy of "Jo Joe." It would have been sent to you by Pixel Hall Press's PR lady, Cynthia Dadson. It's nice to know she found you. I hope you enjoy it.
I've just started reading "Frigularity." So far, it's a light, fun cautionary tale that's well-written. I'm looking forward to the discussion about it.
I'm a full-time freelance writer and photographer (and have been my entire career); I'm married to a fellow writer. (I won't go into all that, it's in my profile.) What that means is that I'm a voracious reader. We have thousands of books in our home, including many I have yet to read or ache to reread. Plus, we have Kindles and tablets with eBook apps. At any one time, I'm usually reading at least two books and a few magazines; I have them squirreled in various places where I might pause long enough to read: the kitchen table, the bathrooms, the bedroom, my purse.
I tend to prefer books that make me think, make me care deeply, that have finely crafted characters who stay with me long after I've finished reading the story. While many would say that adds up to literary fiction, I have found similarly beautiful stories in a variety of genres (though they are often buried by the multitude of others that are essentially pulp, or at least, not my taste). So, at any day, I may be reading science fiction, mystery, magical realism, historic fiction and non-fiction -- all kinds of books. And, yes, a lot of literary fiction.
Now, back to work. See you around TNBBC!
