Do you think Layla will survive having the baby? And if not what do you think will to her (the baby?)

she will survive, author sort of confirmed it. She said: At the birth of the baby girl, Blay is feeling a little left out. Layla, wishing him to know he is very much a part of the child’s life, beckons him over and hand him the baby.

I think she will survuve because she might be Xcor mate. Maybe she can turn him from the dark side and get him to get along with Wrath. Even though that is highly unlikely maybe they will go back to the old world.

I think that Layla is going to have the baby and I give it about 2 or three books ( sometime when there is going to be a super hella change in leads and villians) wrath or beth is going to be in a position where layla is going to have to reach out for xcor and he is going to save the king or his leelan.. MAJOR CROSSOVER.. lassiter's book maybe?

J.R. Ward said that Layla will survive the pregnancy and will have a daughter. I look for it to happen in this next book which the author has revealed will be called "The King."

I have read most of the brotherhood series, but haven't read this one about Xcor. Which one is this?

Xcor showed up in....Lover Reborn I think? Or it might have been Lover Unleashed. He's the leader of the BoB (Band of Bastards).

No he's not next if you're talking book wise. J.R. Ward has already released the information for the next book. It's called The King and it's about Wrath and Beth and them possible trying for an heir.

Ward wants to develop the characters more. I think we are going to have to wait for Xcor and Layla's love to bloom before we really get to see it.

I agree. Also (and this is a spoiler alert so anyone that hasn't read the last couple books, might wanna stop here), I believe it's going to take a book or two, at least in my opinion, for something to change in the BoB. Xcor has a noose around his neck just waiting for a tree for the attempted assassination of Wrath. It's going to take something major happening for that to change and right now the only thing I can think of that could nullify that is either him saving the king, beth or perhaps their heir. Who knows how the WARDen is going to play it out. I'm anxious to find out though. As much as I've tried to hate Xcor for being against the BDB I just can't. Especially after that scene with Layle in LaL when he laid his weapons out on the car before approaching her. He got me with that one. So -crosses fingers- here's to waiting lol

Layla told Beth that if she spent a lot of time with her that she may have a better chance of coming into her needing time. And since she is half human she is looking for all the help she can get. Also what about Rhage and Mary she is desperate for a child. Mention of Cormia and Phury's daughter is yet to come.I'm a Wrath and Zadist fan but Rehvenge is turning into a very loyal Brother. Ward is introducing new characters to mate up with existing smaller characters. Also is Torment and Autumn having a young. To many questions!!!!

@ S so true.. You know what is crazy alot of them are having girls.. The future king (if male) will have a lot to choose from.

I think that Tohrment would be way too afraid to have another child after what happened with Wellsie and what nearly happened with Layla. I'm really excited about all the new characters though. I think this series can go on forever like Dark Hunter. I want a Trez, iAm, Assail, and Luchas book. Maybe even one Band of Bastard book but just not Xhor. I don't get his motivation for wanting to take over. And he doesn't think the Scribe Virgin will do anything and he thinks that his plan will work. No idea why he thinks there's any hope with Layla but she isn't very intelligent in my opinion as well so they may be perfect for one another. LOL

Lover Reborn has turned me off of Tohr completely, and what'shername has already been given a second chance at happiness while poor Wellsie and her baby did not.

I don't want anymore babies except for Wrath's. That's enough. I know Phury and Cormia are to have a son but that's a ways off and most likely won't actually be written in a book unless this series goes on like, forever. Or it comes in a novella. I know that Rhage and Mary are getting a novella focusing on their want for a child, which I personally don't care for.

The notion that all or most of the Brothers need babies is just ludicrous IMO. For one not all the Brothers are daddy material. 2. Not every relationship needs nor should take the same path of another. Annnd 3. Not every HEA needs a baby in order to feel complete. The more babies come in for the Brothers the more I fear the series is getting away from the basis and roots that makes it what it is.

I think that wellsie is going to pull a reborn through one of there children just like darius and Tohr is going to have to give up on her. Because I doubt if he is truely over Wellsie.. T & A are still not mated so anything can go.. Plus they have like 10 years before Autumn will get her needing again.

What is the chance of something happening to John that will somehow unleash all of Darius's memories. Since Ward likes to close circles and this is one she continues to keep open and alive. It would be a story that could have mileage for sure since John is the now and Darius was the then and most of the Brothers have ties to both.

I don't believe this is something she has kept up. During her signing of Lover Reborn, she stated quite clearly that John would never retain his memories of his former life. It was the concession he gave up, along with his voice, in order to return and see Beth again, even if he wouldn't remember her. She seemed pretty adamant that that wasn't going to change but then again, a lot can happen in a year since she said that lol

As far as Autumn and Tohr and the Wellsie thing goes, I don't think Wellsie is going to come back and like, try to break up Autumn and Tohr or Tohr is going to leave her for some reincarnated Wellsie. That just seems a little far out there. I also don't think it will be anytime in the near future if those two have kids simply because of the tragedy surrounding Wellsie and his son dying.

I don't remember a line in DL about asking Darius about being King. Guess I need to go back and read that. I just remember her asking if he wanted to go back and see Beth even if it meant losing his memory of his former life.

I think the line you are referring to is "why could you not be king". She said it in a rather wishful tone, or maybe in exasperation- towards Wrath- as Darius is much more courteous than Wrath, and she would rather liaison with someone more respecting of her divinity. And we all know Wrath is a don't-give-a-fuck-who kinda guy! Rarrrrr ;)!!

Where can i find this information, because i was really hoping the next book, would cover Assail, the dude has an attraction that can rival V's. Maybe not to that extreme, but I found myself enjoying the tidbits between him and Sola. But if you could please forward me a link or something so that I can check it out. My BDB junkie side really needs it right now. LOL.

@ S I think that is very one arguement because everyone got a chance excluding Wellsie.. We all loved Wellsie but I have a feel that Ward has something up her sleeve because Thor and Autumn are not mated and that have a lot of shit to still go through.

Phury and Cormia have a boy named Ahgony named after Phury's father. At the time that time that this was taking place, Nalla is like five years old and Cormia and Phury are babysitting her for Zsadist and Bella. It was the epilogue in the end of Phury's book, but then it was taken out and put in the Insiders Guide. It was really sweet.

Whatever their story will be, I'm sure that tears will fall, surprises will be given and all hell will break loose. It will be one of the memorable books out of the series. I can't wait till she gets to their story. And not just Layla/Xcor, but Assail/Sola, and Trez. I'm sure all three of these stories will be AMAZING!!

Was referring to the new book information. I checked her website and and couldn't find anything. I was just hoping to read it myself, just to give my poor BDB addicted soul a chance to get it's fix, because after LaL, it needs a fix almost every half hour. LOL.

I believe it was in the IG (Insider's Guide) and it was to have happened 5 years or so after Nalla's birth. They had a son who they named after Phury's & Z's dad, Ahgony and they called him Aggy for short

Phury's epilogue (where he and Cormia have their baby boy) can be found in the Insider's Guide to the BDB. J. R. Ward said that she edited it out of Phury's book prior to his book coming out because it was recommended to be removed by others. It takes place about five years after Nalla's birth. Phury and Cormia are babysitting Nalla, because Zsadist and Bella are going out to celebrate Bella's birthday. Phury is reading a story to Nalla and Zsadist doesn't want to leave Nalla. Cormia is holding their son Ahgony and Phury reads them a bed time story. It was well worth the purchase of the Insiders Guide just to read this. I really enjoyed it!!!!! There is also bios on the brothers and some very funny moments that are laugh out loud!!!! It really emphasizes Rhage's humor, Vishious' orneriness, and their relationships!! There's also mini scenes featuring the brothers and their shellens. I kind of wish she would write another one. The bios only include the fist of the six brothers, excluding Tohr, Rhevenge, John Matthew, Payne, Qhuinn and Blay. You won't be sorry if you get the book! :)

In some of the books its been mentioned that the race of the BDB is few, and the babies being born to BDB's will sustain their race. The girl babies will be The Chosen if born to a Chosen and BDB warrior.

Yes the girls born of the BDB will be the Chosen, but they need the boy babies just as much as they're supposed to be the future warriors.

I understand that, but since they have done away with how usually warriors are born, (As the SV once decreed, this is no more) it's pretty much fair game who will become pregnant and for what purpose and by whom. So I would say the sole purpose for breeding a warrior and who will be named/considered a Chosen is pretty much shot out of the water now. And no longer holds weight when it comes to the old laws/ways of their society.

Yes, this is true I'm agreeing with you on that. There is no getting around that.

I just mean that with the way they are changing things with the old ways and how things are done, they are not lookin at the old ways any longer as a must need or must have when it comes to producing offspring for warriors. Yes, the Brotherhood knows they need warriors, but their need is no longer dependant upon the old laws' way of going about getting those warriors.

Payne qualifies as a Chosen, but she elected to be a warrior. SV asked Wrath to train her to become a brother. I think the world of the Chosen maybe defined differently in the future.
