Jennifer I'm usually an avid and prolific reader, but now I have a baby, so no more down time for reading! My personal challenge is to get through at least 12 books this year. That's an average of 1 per month, but I have sub-goals too. I want to focus on books I already own, and I really want to get through Swann's Way by Proust this year. If I can do that, I'll tackle the rest of In Search of Lost Time next year.

Caroline (carolinestp) | 40 comments I also have a baby (and a two year-old) and my goal is also 12 books this year. Good luck!

Jennifer Caroline, I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a small goal! And you're a knitter, too. That's another hobby I've let slide since the baby was born. Gotta get the needles back out!

Caroline (carolinestp) | 40 comments Yeah, I started a pair of mittens in January and I'm only halfway done! I won't be wearing them this year! :)

Jennifer I actually stopped knitting about half-way through my pregnancy. My husband's Doctor Who scarf is in semi-permanent limbo waiting for the ends to be woven in. That should be one of my goals - to have it ready for him to wear next winter!

LOVE IT!!
I made my husband a scarf, ala Who, but in Boise State colors a few years ago. Ugliest thing ever, but he loved it while he was going there.
