The Complete Idiots Guide to the Ultimate Reading List discussion

I am reading Shogun right now, has anyone else read it? It came highly recommended to me by several people, so I hope I enjoy it!

I know there is a really popular miniseries based on the book done many years ago too...but I've never seen it.

Excellent book! and the minseries was very good as well.
Netflix has it - it's five discs, but well worth it, after you've read the book.
