Goal: 12 books in 2013, including Swann's Way

1. The Last Circus & the Electrocution by Ray Bradbury - completed 4/12/13

2. Letters from Syria by Freya Stark.

I love Freya Stark. She is an inspiration and a delight to read. Such detailed descriptions that I can almost see the desert and feel the fleas and taste the leban. She would have been marvelous to spend time with!

3. Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut -completed 5/19/13

What did you think about The Sirens of Titan? I plan to read more Vonnegut this year and wasn't sure if that'd be a good one to try next.

Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't been on in awhile. I loved it. Not my favorite Vonnegut, but still excellent. Did you like it?

Woo-hoo! That's my twelve, and two months early. No Proust, but let's be honest, that's probably never happening. At least not in one fell swoop. It seems like the kind of book you pick up from time to time to savor, but never fully digest.
