I love Freya Stark. She is an inspiration and a delight to read. Such detailed descriptions that I can almost see the desert and feel the fleas and taste the leban. She would have been marvelous to spend time with!

Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't been on in awhile. I loved it. Not my favorite Vonnegut, but still excellent. Did you like it?

6. Speaking from Among the Bo ex by Alan Bradley
7. The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches by Alan Bradley
8. Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
9. I Wear the Black Hat by Chuck Klosterman

11. The Invention of Solitude by Paul a Austere
12. The Murder Room by Michael Capuzzo
Woo-hoo! That's my twelve, and two months early. No Proust, but let's be honest, that's probably never happening. At least not in one fell swoop. It seems like the kind of book you pick up from time to time to savor, but never fully digest.
