Jennifer 2. Letters from Syria by Freya Stark.

I love Freya Stark. She is an inspiration and a delight to read. Such detailed descriptions that I can almost see the desert and feel the fleas and taste the leban. She would have been marvelous to spend time with!

Kara (karaayako) | 3984 comments What did you think about The Sirens of Titan? I plan to read more Vonnegut this year and wasn't sure if that'd be a good one to try next.

Jennifer 4. Books and Bookmen by Andrew Lang. Read on a whim when I found it free on archive.com

Sorry for the delayed response, I haven't been on in awhile. I loved it. Not my favorite Vonnegut, but still excellent. Did you like it?

Jennifer 5. Blood of the Lamb by Sam Cabot
6. Speaking from Among the Bo ex by Alan Bradley
7. The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches by Alan Bradley
8. Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan
9. I Wear the Black Hat by Chuck Klosterman

Jennifer 10. The Abandoned Room by Wadsworth Camp
11. The Invention of Solitude by Paul a Austere
12. The Murder Room by Michael Capuzzo

Woo-hoo! That's my twelve, and two months early. No Proust, but let's be honest, that's probably never happening. At least not in one fell swoop. It seems like the kind of book you pick up from time to time to savor, but never fully digest.
