Suzanne Adair | 2 comments How do you make the default cover images for your books display as the in-print versions? What currently displays for my first three books are the out-of-print cover images that my publisher put on the books years ago. (Example: Paper Woman) They're unappealing, and I suspect that they confuse people who are expecting to see another book cover, the current book cover (Example: Paper Woman).

I have librarian status, but this stumps me. I posed the question to the librarian group. One person answered that the default cover image couldn't be changed by librarians, and I had to contact Goodreads Help. I've done that, but nobody has responded.

"Default" implies that it can be changed to something else. So have you ever changed your books' cover images to show an in-print version? What was your procedure? Thanks.

Suzanne Adair | 2 comments Here's how it's done.

You select the book edition with the cover image you want, then click on "Edit Details."

In the right column, about halfway down, you'll see an option to set that edition as the primary edition for the book. Click on it. Goodreads apparently uses the words "default" and "primary" almost interchangeably here.
