why books and author do not appear when searched?

Are you asking about your book not appearing in a search or someone else's?

My books.

Your titles have a lot of accents on it because of the different language. Unless you search with those accents, your books do not come up. I would recommend a more user friendly title that people can search without the accents.

After an unsuccessful search you usually get a 'No results found - sorry!' message. When you see this look down a few lines and you will see this statement in a box 'Still can't find the book? Add a new record.' Click on this and a new page will appear. Fill out this form. That should correct the problem.

J. I added all my books personally, ISBN, cover, epub sample and all, and I have an author page as well. None of those are showing.

That is very odd. I would go to the librarians group and ask them about it. I have never encountered this problem before. Sorry I could not be more help.

Noga, that's all I know to tell you. Maybe a librarian member can help or click on help at the top of page. I wish I knew more so I could help. Good luck.

Looks like your books were just added to the system in the last day or two. Most new books and certain edits don't get added to the search index for a day or two, so that may be the issue.

Give it a a couple days, and see how the search works then.

I have the same problem. My book has been on Goodreads for ages and previously the search worked fine. Now I can only find it by searching the ISBN. No funny accents or anything in the title BTW.

One of our developers has been working on our search feature. So that probably explains it.
