Almost inevitably, a long distance, whirlwind romance begins in the aftermath of Argentina’s “Dirty War.” Complications abound, including a frightening interrogation with the Argentine Police and an astonishing encounter at the American Consulate.

Follow the sometimes poignant, sometimes comical trials and tribulations of a young girl coming to terms with her Jewish heritage, her Argentine traditions, and her fierce American patriotism.

It was inspired by Chapter Twelve of the Book of Revelation, which speaks of the war in heaven, fought between Michael and his angels and the dragon and his angels. Hello all, my name is Dimitrios Spyridon Chytiris and I try to write about many things I find interesting. Exodos is a book I have translated from ancient Greek. It was originally written by Saint John of Damascus in the 7th century, and it's the Exodic Acolouthy read until this day in the Eastern Church. The content of the original hymns is magnificent and I hope I managed to present some of its beauty in the English language too. Feel free to take look.

My series 5 of novels 'A Waikato Presbyterian School for Boys Mystery' reflect my own faith through the main female character. While all others around Hana Johal are living very worldly lives, she has to steer a straight course that lines up with her own conscience. Not easy when she unexpectedly falls in love with the Head of English at the school she works at, a man with a strong Maori heritage and a scant regard for the constraints of Christianity. Definitely not easy when she is being relentlessly pursued by a group of men who believe that she is hiding something that belongs to them.
The first novel is called, 'About Hana' and the first three need to be read one after the other to get the best enjoyment. Books 4 and 5 can be read independently.

I recently wrote a Christian fiction novel (novella), called Manor of Corruption (by me, James Partlow--published by Black Rose Writing), and would love to get people's thoughts/reviews. It's a story of a mobster who hires a young writer to pen his memoir, but his real motivation is to corrupt his mind. The philosophical underpinning of the book is a discussion of how we depend upon reason as an absolute, a standard, but it is unreliable at best, and at worst is used in our own corruption.
If not reason, what? Well, Faith and Reason as the Catholic Church has long taught.

Before they left, some of us gathered in the parking lot. Lily was there for Jacob, Ahmad was there, and John, Desi, and Yuie were there to see the Chief off. I clung to Hector, choked up, unable to speak. Luis and Maria had come, and he wanted to say a prayer. I could see by the way the Chief fidgeted that he was impatient with this, because he was not religious and neither was Erin, but since Maria was there he could hardly object, and Hector agreed when Luis asked.

“God, we beg you to watch over our friends. Guide them and help our friends to rescue the children from the evil that has befallen them. We pray that you will bring our friends back safely to us, and then watch over Erin as she moves into the next part of her life. Amen”

Next to me, I heard Lily softly whisper, “Amen,” and Hector made the sign of the cross.
