Interesting idea. Stories like this intrigue me. I'm reminded of 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead', which explores the lives of these two characters when the story of Hamlet is not focused on them; 'Source Code', in which a dying man is sent either through time or to an alternate world to prevent a terrorist attack; and a novel by (I think) Gael Baudino, in which an entire world is given partial life by a dying man's mind, and its up to his apprentice to finish the job.
Yours appears to take these sorts of ideas into a very different direction.

I believe there is nothing like this book out there. The concept came to me after a psychedelic experience while experimenting with certain substances. The story will blow your mind.
