Hi! My name is C. Martin Stepp and I am a new author here on GoodReads. I currently have two novels published at Amazon.com. Walking Backwards and Two Thursdays.
They are the first two installments in my series of humorous detective novels. Each book is set in the city of Cincinnati, OH and feature private investigator Hitchcock Brown.

Good luck with your publishing journey! And welcome to the group. I'm a new author too--my debut novel came out May of this year. It's a mystery thriller.

My inspiration for "One By One" was Agatha Christie's "Then There Were None," Harper's Island, and Scream. What was your inspiration for you Hitchcock Brown series?

My original idea was to write something that read like "The Rockford Files" meets "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." The books took on a life of their own, so they didn't really end up resembling either of those concepts.
