I am team Maxon all the way. Aspen had his chance and he blew it by breaking America's heart. She just made dinner for him and he flips out and breaks up with her. Macon has been nothing but kind and sweet to her. I'm not just Team Macon because he's a Prince, but because he treats America with respect and dignity as well as respects her opinions and advice as well as her space/what she likes. That's the kind of guy she needs to marry and Maxon is just the guy for it. Go Team Maxon!!!!

yeah! IKR?! aspen blew that chance and he had hurt america even if it's unintentionally. If he really love america, he would've fought for her :)

i'm team Maxon still and i hate that we'll have to wait for The One to come out to figure out how things resolve themselves.

what i really like about Maxon though is that in The Selection, he allowed America to realize that she could be friends with people outside her caste and even up. Both with him and with Marlee for example,those friendships were things that she never had. it made her grow and you can see how interested she was in what was going on in the country and how Maxon was dealing with it. I liked that she was learning more about herself because of him. With Aspen, she was resigned to the fact that she'd get married, provide for him and have babies. there wasn't too much there that was a stretch or challenge for her.

I completely agree...I think that Maxon challenges America in so many ways that Aspen doesn't.

I'm team America:) Maxon keeps flaunting other girls in America's face. If he truly cared about her, he wouldn't do that. Aspen is better in some ways like he is always there for America and truly loves her. I think he is the only one that knows America.

I think Kiera wants her readers to fall for the two boys like America. That's why at some point it may seem like Aspen is a better choice that Maxon or the other way around. But Kiera!!! you can't change my mind! I'm team MAXON all the way! haha.

I'm also a part of Team America, and I agree that Maxon flaunts other girls in front of America's face, but he still likes her if he was willing to go against his father for her in front of everyone. And also the fact that America was ogling with Aspen at every chance she got, she is a hypocrite if she thinks that Maxon is jerk for flaunting in front of her. So it should and will be Maxon.

So my fellow lady companions and a few guys!, who so eagerly read both books. Which team do you belong in.....

The only reason he's flirting with them is because he has to. He's has to keep appearances, but in The Elite, Maxon did promise his heart to America and America promised hers. He says he has no feelings for the other girls and he only has feelings for her (America).

I feel bad for Aspen, as it seems I am one of few who is team Aspen. Maxon, said for the longest time how he only had eyes for America, and would marry her in a second if she was certain. After what happened with Marlee because America was upset and mad,(with good reason I would be mad if my potential husband sat back and let my best friend be beat)he was more than willing to run into the arms of Kriss and Celeste.All thoughts of America as his one and only are thrown away. I can't see how you can say you want to marry someone in one second with no thoughts of the other girls, then at a rough period find a make-out buddy. America was at least honest about her uncertainty and she did not flaunt her relationship with aspen to him. Although I can see that her doing this behind his back is wrong she never told him he was her only one and if he has not noticed yet he is a little slow. I don't hate Maxon or anything, and I can somewhat see his reasoning for Kriss, but it makes no sense for him and America to be together. He could easily have give her up because of his father and marry Kriss, no problem. Aspen on the other had has always been there for America. He has never wavered on his love for her and there is truly no other girl for him. The reason he told her she could not be queen was not because he thought she was not good enough only that she was too compassionate to rule as the current king is ruling. Aspen is sweet and compassionate and shares the same opinions regarding the castes. I only wish aspen was the prince so America could become the queen everyone knows she will. All this being said I doubt my team will win, all is adding up to Maxon and America ending up together.Although it would be a good plot twister if Maxon died and America ended up with Aspen. One can only hope and I really mean ONE (still can't believe I'm the only Aspen fan here :)

Aspen had his chance with America. If I remember correctly, America made him dinner since he rarely eats and he flips out because of it saying that he should be the one providing food, not America and he breaks up with her. He broke her heart and Maxon was the o e who fixed it and gave it new life. Maxon poured his heart out to her and made her his first kiss, made the garden their special place, a secret sign to talk, became friends with her before making a move and allowing her to wear jeans on Saturdays. If I recall correctly, Maxon hasn't done any of that with the other girls, proving his heart belongs to America and America only.

Yeah, I'm team Maxon. I do kind of feel bad for Aspen, but I think that Maxon would be better for America. While team America would make sense, America was doing the same thing to Maxon as he was to her.
And besides, Maxon does have to find an alternative if he doesn't end up with America. He can't dedicate himself to America because he's the prince for the Selection and she's still not sure about Aspen.

So yeah, my feelings. :)

I just hate how hes not fully commited to America. IK shes still kinda in love with Aspen(EWWWW!!!), but he should show he will give up Kriss in a heartbeat! IDK, As long as they end up 2gether, ill will be right in the world
