I'm not entirely sure what you are asking. It looks to me like the books were published separately and also sold as a boxed set. If this is the case these books are correct as they are.

They aren't publish separately, it's just a big book, that was splited in four volumes. It's War and Peace.

But each volume seems to have been published separately. They have individual ISBNs.

Ok, so the option B is the right one. It's kind of weird, 'cause even the pagination is sequential; it doesn't starts from 1 in the second volume, but in 300..
