Goodreads Authors/Readers discussion

I'm slowly but surely drawing nearer to the ending of the second book in my Slayer trilogy. The first book was simply called "The Slayer and the Sphinx" with the words "Book One" below it. I wanted to name the second book "The Slayer and the Sphinx: Slaying the Past," but I've been told that that would be confusing, since the first book didn't have a subtitle. They think I should just call it "The Slayer and the Sphinx: Book Two." Short and simple, easy to tell which order to read them in. What do you think?

As a writer of a trilogy, I have hassled with this before. My suggestion would be:

The Slayer and the Sphinx
Book Two
Slaying the Past

So your readers will understand this to be part of the S&S series, but with an added title.
