Paula When your done with that it has been highly recommended to me to read Cara McKenna's..."After Hours" Highly recommended. Go read Karla' s review of it.

Paula 100 pages of a good book is so much better than 300 pages of an okay book. Lol!

Naya Easy by Tammara Webber is a definite must read! It is college based though - but if your okay with that then i suggest you give it a go!

Beautiful Disaster is fab, Walking Disaster was ... meh. I skimmed through it - a pricey read to just skim. It's from Travis' POV but really, was just a repetition of BD without much of the male POV and all the best bits left out.

Vickie*** "a pretty pill" series is pretty awesome. it also has to deal with some bipolar disorders, and wrestling. it's a really nice read.

beautiful disaster is a really really great book. Travis Maddox is one of my favorite male characters ever. Thats saying a lot, Ive been reading romance for 20 years, of all kinds. It is college age but definitely worth it. The problems people had with it were silly and I honestly think those were THEIR personal problems and not anything wrong with the book. (like issues they have in life, ect)

lol lol so good

Paula I totally agree with Wendy about Beautiful Disaster. I also think the complaints are about personal problems reviewers had with the subject matter. I even read it twice (which I almost never do). I highly recommend this book. If you liked "Real" you'll like BD.

Keeley Ok ok haha ill read beautiful disaster but first I need to read defying the odds because I already started it lol. Cheers ppl :)

Iv not read it yet still waiting for it to get here. Had to buy it from amazon because our library has not got it :( should be here for Wednesday so ill will let you know as soon as I'm done :) can't wait thought it sound really good lol

Paula I'm glad. I don't think that you will regret reading BD. Unless you have issues of course.

Keeley Nope no issues :)

Sandy I really enjoyed Fighting for Flight.

Keeley Well iv been to the library to get beautiful disaster lol going to start it tonight. Defying the odds is getting a bit boring its just not doing it for me at all : ( i hate giving up on books but I'm ready for falling to sleep. Thanks for all the help people :)

Paula Keeley, When you're all done with the recommendations don't forget "Willing Victim". I thought It was great. It deals with underground boxing too, and the personalities that, it's barely legal atmosphere create. There's some sexual role playing in this book as well which might upset some readers who have issues with rape scenes, so beware.

Sandy Paula - I enjoyed Willing Victim as well. Haven't encountered that take on a "love story" before.

Paula Yes, that's what made it so interesting as well as HOT!
I'm reading a book right now called "After Hours (InterMix"). So far it's really good. It's about a newly graduated LVN who gets her first job at a locked mental facility. She meets an Orderly (whom all of the staff respect) and the two of them feel a connection right from the start. These always start out with preconceived ideas about certain people types, but we always learn later about what makes them who they really are, and it's always intriguing and sometimes very surprising.

Sandy Thanks for the recommendation Paula...

Paula Welcome Sandy.

Thanks very much Paula I won't forget because I'm jotting them all on paper lol :)

Keeley Well ok I'm going to say a big THANK YOU to all the people who were telling me I should give beautiful disaster a chance because I went to the library last night to pick it up :) I went to bed 2 hour later than normal because I could not put the bloody thing down haha so thanks today I am 1 happy bunny with a good book to go finish lol :)

Sandy Just remebered, Falling Stars is a little like Real with the emotional/behavior/anger issues - but from a rockstar perspective.

Jonida Tanaya wrote: "Easy by Tammara Webber is a definite must read! It is college based though - but if your okay with that then i suggest you give it a go!"

Ooohhhh I love Easy. Lucas is such a complicated, beautiful soul.

Jonida Mammamia wrote: "Keeley wrote: "Reading fight for flight next thanks :)"

I thought this book was ok but not at all as deep as Real. There was such a genuine tension between Remy and Brooke in Real that did not exist in Fighting for Flight. I thought Fighting for Flight was too cookie cutter for me.

Ariel Baird Just bought Playing Patience- looks like it might be similar to Real, I'll let you know if it's any good- I loved Real and BD...

message 47: by Paula (last edited Apr 30, 2013 07:57PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Paula Here I am agreeing with Jonida. "Easy" is indeed up there with the rest of the books mentioned. I read it and loved it too. Rape issues again though.

Don't know anything about "Fighting For Flight".
I'm about 85% through with "After Hours" Good reading. Already cried (lightly) twice.

Keeley Ariel wrote: "Just bought Playing Patience- looks like it might be similar to Real, I'll let you know if it's any good- I loved Real and BD..."

O please do thanks :)

Ariel Baird Okay read Playing Patience, and it was very good. Two very broken teenagers (17+ rating) from different sides of the track. Of course, there is the bad boy womanizing rocker and good girl "I'm pretty but I don't know it". Worth the read :) Contains some pretty harsh material, but that's what makes it different than the norm.

message 50: by Jonida (last edited May 03, 2013 12:41AM) (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jonida ohhhhhhhh my goodnesss . Thank you thank you thank you to whomever recommended Playing Patience. Heartbreaking, tense, beautiful. My heart is still hammering away after reading it.
Gorgeous !!!!!!! Must read.

I wish this book had a different cover, because it makes you think it is about sex and that is most definitely not what it is about. It is about broken people, victims of abuse and hiding in a shell meant to shut them out from others. One thing they did not count on , is that they could not hide from each other. All wrong, from different worlds and yet all right. They both come from the same shattered place and are the only ones that can mend the other.

Language yes, some content yes. But this book is nothing short of heartbreaking, endearing and intense. Beautiful writing, and a wonderful look into what love can do, when you give it a chance.

Read this book NOW! It is about teenagers and it does have content, but so does life.
