I know I read a short story in an anthology about a resurrection witch in Austin Texas. She had raised some dude who was also a resurrection witch 200 years dead and recent murders required expertise he had so she had to re-raise him. I cannot for the life of me remember which anthology it was, nor who the author is.

Based on a google search I *think* it was in , but none of the titles, authors or series summaries click.

Does anyone know which short story I'm thinking of, and if so, what series (if any) it belongs to?

Took another look at the google search. 1 of the entries was a 'look inside' the book.

It *appears* that it's probably the story Death Warmed Over by Rachel Caine.

Looking through the synopsis of her various books, it doesn't appear to be part of any series, but I haven't read her books and it could be a spinoff story from one of her series.
