I just clicked on the RECOMMENDATIONS link for the first time today. I was horrified by what came up on my screen. Only about 6 of the 50 books displayed were even remotely interesting to me. Some of them I wouldn't even read with someone elses eyes. One book was even about natural weight-loss...and I hate food-porn!
This tells me two things: 1- That amazon must be getting some really bad data..(which isn't entirely negative) 2- The recommendations button should not be pushed, as somewhere a basement light is turning off and on.
I just click the little "not interested" tag if something which doesn't interest me comes up. Presumably that tells their metadata that you don't want that particular style again. Food-porn - hah, that's funny.
