Laura (conundrum44) | 109 comments I finished the van Buren bio I was reading. After reading, I wanted to find out more about Vice President Richard Johnson and his slave common law wife, Julia Chinn. The internets don't have too much information about them.

I'm still reading John Dies at the End and started Mr. Monk is Cleaned Out.

Kristina | 588 comments Finally getting around to The Desert Spear. I really liked the first book, and this has been on my list forever-it just kept getting bumped. Going to get it done before I allow myself another Sanderson :P.

The Desert Spear is my favourite of the Demon Cycle books so far.

Igor (igork) | 105 comments Started both The Windup Girl by Bacigalupi and Brown's Inferno audible. Paul Michael is doing excellent job as narrator.

Just started The Lady in the Lake by Raymond Chandler. Neither sword nor laser. Well written noir.

Also reading The Fall of Arthur. More in line with the focus of this group.

Read Lady several months ago and really enjoyed it.

Rick One of my most anticipated books of 2013, Chris Moriarty's Ghost Spin it being the 3rd volume in her Spin universe series. Spin State and Spin Control were awesome and so far, this is too.

Chris Pacheco | 18 comments I have been reading Ready Player One. It is a solid read and the great thing about it is that it is renewing my love for my childhood things from the 80's

message 160: by Joseph (new)

Joseph | 2433 comments Finished Into the Void and had to cut my Star Wars reading plan short due to the death of Jack Vance; I'll be reading Vance's The Moon Moth and Other Stories instead.

Andi (andi2517) | 3 comments I've just started reading NOS4A2 and wish I'd opted for the audiobook instead, now that I know it's narrated by Kate Mulgrew.

Jeff Namadan (jnamadan) | 218 comments Just finished Theft of Swords audiobook and while I thought it was somewhat interesting for the first act, I lost interest in it. Not sure if it was the narration or story. Gonna skip the pick for June as it doesn't interest me. Have nothing outstanding for May to roll over.

Save my June picks for that thread :)

Laura (conundrum44) | 109 comments This is the last day to post books on this thread. *So sad* I flew through almost the first half of The Emperor's Soul while on breaks at work today.

message 172: by Sandi (new)

Sandi (sandikal) | 1212 comments I finished off May by listening to Deeply Odd by Dean Koontz. I read the first 4 (5?) installments in print, but listened to the collection of 3 novellas, Odd Interlude: A Special Odd Thomas Adventure and was so impressed with the narrator, I decided that this is now an audio-only series.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 314 comments Just finished Asunder. Not quite as good as the other Dragonage books but pretty good anyway. Back playing the game again so a lot of fun:)
