I am going to start reading this one here soon

Lois Just read Dead Ever After. I hope you all like it. I felt it was like she was glad to be finished with the series. Loved the series over all but personally did not care for this last one at all.

I haven't started it yet. I've heard bad reviews. But in my opinion the series has been going down hill for a while. I am looking forward to it ending even as much as I loved the earlier boos. It is kind of a train wreck you can't look away from, I just need to know how it all ends.

Terri ♥ (aka Mrs. Christian Grey) (mybookboyfriend) I read. Total Disappointment. (view spoiler)

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) Yes it sucked! The first half was good, read like the old ones. Then the last half felt rushed and thrown together. I gave it 3 stars since I did enjoy the first half. CH has been getting death threats over the book. I'll go find the link to the article in a minute but don't read it if you don't want to see spoilers.

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) I agree Terri

Charlaine, in Sookie's own words, "Fuck you, and the horse you rode in on."

message 9: by Ezi (new) - rated it 3 stars

Ezi Chinny (ezinwanyi) | 1882 comments Many of you already know how I felt about this one. My problem wasn't her choice, but how they arrived at the choice. She had a number of suitable choices, men who seemed to truly care about her...but it was the the process at which we arrived to the choice that made me feel cheated.

Also, I read that article Jenne posted from the guardian and I would like to say "No Ms. Harris, I completely disagree. this was NOT your best. Books 1-8 were so good. So after reading 12 prior books, this book doesn't rank in the top 10. We have experienced your best, and this wasn't it."

I feel like for the sake of economics, she stretched out a series beyond it's natural shelf life and gave us this contrived story and expected us to just eat it up. No ma'am. the villian here was a bad choice and his reason for attacking Sookie was such BS.

The author seriously miscalculated and I was really disappointed.

I do like her with the choice for different reasons that I can discuss when everyone finishes their read

Alana ~ The Book Pimp (loonyalana) (from the previous linked article)
"End on a high" ... that's the biggest load of bullcrap I ever heard. That was not ending on a high, unless Sookie was partaking in a joint when I wasn't looking.

Jenne (jennetheinstigator) Yes I must agree Alana!
