My word was 'birthday girl' because I was born in May, but I was having a hard time with a few of the letters, so I changed it.

Reading Spring Challenge
May 1st - 31st, 2013 5/5 Books Completed! I'm Done!

Ex. I want to use the book title The Perfect Play, for the letter 'P' in my word does the fact that the word "the" is the first word in the title?
I hope this question doesn't confuse anyone, thanks in advance!

Or you could take the P from any of the following imaginary titles:
Pretty Much by Jen Susan
Many Pretties by Susie Jane
Mostly Asleep by Petunia Jen
Sweet Dreams by Jane Patty
I hope this helps and that I haven't confused you further! :-)

Cool huh! :)"
Cool! Happy Soon-to-be Birthday, Birthday Buddy!

..."
I think so, I mean the title does have a 'P' in it it's just not the first part of the book. I think I get what you mean though.

EXACTLY! :) I didn't want to waste even one book! :)

I wish this group did something with extension gift cards like the Nothing But Reading Challenges did, that'd be cool!

I read 19 books that spelled out the phrase PINING FOR WINTER SNOW. :-) Winter is my most favorite season, and whenever it's not winter, I pine for the cold, so I thought this a most appropriate phrase for me. :-) (Not to mention this was the only winter-related phrase I could come up with to suit the books I read this month!)
Thanks, Vannessa, for your comment! And thanks, Shera, for coming up with such a great, challenging and fun challenge!!
And congratulations to everyone else who finished their challenge, too! :-)

Congrats Jen, glad you enjoyed the challenge!

And I'm in Tucson, Arizona, but from Seattle, Washington. I feel like I'm melting. We had one morning here in January or February where there was snow on the ground. It was fabulous. I went outside in it in my bare feet. Apart from that one day, it's too hot here for me, even in what AZ calls "winter" (I've been here since the end of September).

My mind is still all about the spring time! So as a challenge pick a spring time related word and read it.
How do you do that?
1. Pick a word. Let's say rain
2. Pick books that's title or author matches the letter.
R - Rosemary and Rue by Seanan McGuire
A - Full Moon Rising by Keri Arthur
I - Pleasure Unbound by Larissa Ione
N - Nightlife by Rob Thurman
3.Enter the challenge using the widget link below!
4.You can keep track of your challenge here or on your widget. Either way is fine and if you want to change your challenge level at anytime feel free to.
You can also pick big word(s) such as "Spring Time" and read only as may as you want. So say you choose easy (4 books) and decided to go with the word "flower" pick for letters that you want to read.
Or if you're having a hard time coming up with 8 or 12 letter words pick a bunch of four letter ones. Be creative!
Link to the challenge widget!
There is no genre limitations, read whatever you want!
Levels:
Easy - 4 (Rain, soil, iris . . . )
Medium - 6 (Flower, spring, violia . . .)
Hard - 8 (Red Roses, tomatoes, planting . . . )
