Poem 1
Living in her small hut,
deep in the mountains lived a young girl named Lakshmi.
Her family was poor,
she enjoyed a life of simple pleasures.
Himalayan monsoons washed away the family crops.
Lakshmi was forced to leave home,
to become a maid.
Her world was turned upside down,
she was sold into prostitution.
When she arrives at the "Happiness House",
her life is changed forever.
Poem 2
13 years old,
forced into prostitution,
lived a girl named Lakshmi.
Gambling step father,
a normal beautiful village mom.
When arriving at the "Happiness House",
she meets the evil women in charge, Mutaz.
Mutaz keeps girls in the house even after all debts are payed.
Lakshmi realizes its going to take a lot to pay Mutaz back.
She think,
will she make it out,
or will she be buried alive?
Poem 3
Through the plot of Sold,
you get ingrossed in what is going to happen to Lakshmi.
The ultimate question is,
will she make it out?
Or will she get buried alive...
