Savannah- Quad Motherin' Book Readin' Diva (quadmom2005) | 1549 comments Rainy day at work and tons to do. Don't feel like music so I eant to treat myself to a good audiobook download via audible or amazon I guess but I'm open to suggestions!

Micky Blue Skies | 114 comments Audio? I cannot think of any IR audio sorry :-(. However, if you have a Kindle Fire you know you can select the text-to-voice feature and it will read the book to you.

Savannah- Quad Motherin' Book Readin' Diva (quadmom2005) | 1549 comments Unfortunately no KF. seems that audible only has one IR book which is ridiculous!

Venice Kennedy (venicekennedy) | 70 comments I can listen to almost all my IR ebook purchases, the ones that do feature text- to-voice on a regular basis. I've become such a fan, listening to books has been my go to for entertainment instead of a mp3 player for commuting, walking, doing stuff around the house, or just relaxing. I've got this kindle:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004...

Just the old paperwhite one, 3 g, with the keypad/keyboard. Think it's $139-- it's become my constant companion.

And I love listening to them!

In fact, I also email my own WIP stuff, and posts I do for my blog to my kindle to check my work for typos and flow.

It's been a great tool to put in my writer's tool box. Some folks may not like the built in voices the kindle reader has, but I've really gotten to enjoy the male one-- the female voice though, is way too robotic for me. There are some words here that end up with weird punciations-- which is good for a chuckle now and again. And some character's names don't fair too well also.

Venice Kennedy (venicekennedy) | 70 comments Also there are sites where you can download epub, mobi, pdf versions of ebooks-- which you can listen to on your laptop/desktop. You can attach some little speakers, I bet and get some extra volume. Just a thought-- I think that should work pretty good, Savannah!

Savannah- Quad Motherin' Book Readin' Diva (quadmom2005) | 1549 comments Thanks Venice, I'm going to check it out! I just have the regular Nook and I don't think it does anything special. If I can get some features added to my work desktops/laptops or my phone that would help.

Micky Blue Skies | 114 comments Venice, how are you listening to your e-books on your laptop?
