Carrie Rubin (carrierubin) I have four hours recorded of this new Sundance series so far (it will be five after tonight), and I'm just wondering if it is worth my time to watch it or not. Not a big problem in the grand scheme of life, I know, but I'm just curious if anyone has started watching it and what they think of it.

A.G. (rockinghorse) | 75 comments Hi Carrie. I've not heard of the show, what is it about. Tell me more, I'm always on the look out for a good show in the evening after spending most of the day working on my book. I'm one of those lucky writers who can write every day. The other side is I'm old and retired. Makes me write a little faster so I can get it finished. I have written every day for many years even if it is only a line or two. Seven days a week. Look forward to hearing about the Sundance series.
A.G.

Carrie Rubin (carrierubin) It's about a man who's released from prison after many years (18 years maybe? Can't remember exactly), after DNA evidence clears him. Or at least it doesn't match his. He now has to adjust to life back in his small town, and I believe there's some question as to whether he's really innocent or not. I've only watched 15 minutes of it so far. I liked what I saw, but I'm just so busy with other things. I think it's only about 6-8 episodes total, though. But it got good reviews.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 1438 comments I've watched the first 3 episodes, and I think it's interesting. The actor playing the guy who gets out of prison is doing a great job. So far, it's mostly about how it is for him to be out in the world after so many years, but there's a conflict brewing in his home town, where the people who put him away want to put him back in prison. Give it a try.

ipsit (ipsit_13) I've watched the first season after being tempted by a promo prefaced by 'from the producers of Breaking Bad'.
Aden Young is mesmerizing, his thousand yard stare bringing nuance to every scene he is in,the excellent use of silences and the sheer quality of the performances, the moving images are pretty compelling too- the use of light and the photography are evocative, as is the atmosphere of the small, southern town and the sometimes claustrophobic interiors. Personally, I feel very attached to the lead and feel this tremendous empathy for him. Genuinely impressive TV-making; profound and deeply moving in every sense.Rectify is every bit as good as dramas airing on HBO, AMC and Showtime. I can't wait to see where Rectify ends up, and the other intense beautifully filmed dramas Sundance Channel commissions. This definitely needs to be watched.

Carrie Rubin (carrierubin) Thanks, Scout and Ipsith. You've convinced me! I'll keep recording it. Maybe I'll get some time this weekend to watch it, and if not, it will make for a good summer show when there's not much else on. I heard the lead actor is actually Australian. Although as I've said, I've only watched a few minutes so far, I thought he adopted a Southern American accent really well.

Barbara (cinnabarb) | 9979 comments I've been watching Rectify and I agree with the positive comments. Interesting story, good characters, well acted.

Bill I hadn't heard of this before. I'll have to keep an eye out for it. Sounds interesting.

Carrie Rubin (carrierubin) Yes, I'm all caught up with the episodes now except for last night's, which I've recorded. I'm so glad I decided to watch it after all. I think the main actor is fantastic in the role.

Feliks (dzerzhinsky) 'Justified' or 'Rectified'? I can't keep 'em straight

'Rectified.' But 'Justified is great, too.' In fact, that's one of my favorite shows. It recently finished its third season.
