Steen Alexander (steenalexander) | 1 comments Hello
I'm new to the History Book Club. My main interest in literature is history, both fiction and non-fiction. I'm an historian myself and teach history classes, both here where I live near Copenhagen and also, a few years back, in London, my second city so to speak.
So I guess history for me is both a profession and a hobby. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks again,
Steen

José Luís Fernandes | 1016 comments Welcome Jim to a site for those who love history. There are many folks here who have majored in history and love the subject matter so you should be right at home. Please, check our main page to find books on your favorite areas:

Check out our folders as well if you want to search for any specific topic and discuss it with our fellow members. Feel free to contact any one of our assisting moderators for any assistance you might need. We are all here to help.

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the "add book/author" feature when you comment. (There is a link on the top right of the comment box.) It makes things so much easier for people to see your book recommendations, because they can see the cover and the links to the author. And it helps the Goodreads software connect books with groups that talk about them.

When citing a book and/or author, please put the book cover, author's photo and author's link at the very bottom of the post after your text. Because it is on the bottom, it calls the reader's attention to the book/author and increases the readability of your posts.

It makes things so much easier for people to see your book recommendations, because they can see the cover and the links to the author. And it helps the Goodreads software connect books with groups that talk about them.

When citing a book and/or author, please put the book cover, author's photo and author's link at the very bottom of the post after your text. Because it is on the bottom, it calls the reader's attention to the book/author and increases the readability of your posts.

This is how books that you mention should look:

Thomas Jefferson The Art of Power by Jon Meacham by Jon Meacham Jon Meacham

caleb young | 1 comments Hey everyone my name is Caleb, I would like to start off by saying that books are everything to me. I'll make this short and sweet by saying I just started college, and I'm majoring in History to become a professor at a four year university. My other hobbies I should say are fitness, traveling, and wine tastings. In my spare time I like to play chess and socialize with friends and family. That's pretty much sums up my life.

Adrianna (adriannacontreras) Good afternoon everyone! My name is Adriana. I am happy to have found this group. It was recommended to my by a few people. I am glad I looked you all up. You have had some excellent reads from what I can see. I reside in the sunny state of Fort Lauderdale florida, not far from the beach. However, I am a Midwestern girl at heart. Not born but raised in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. I was born in Colombia South America. Am an architecture and interior design student and have a beautiful little girl of 8 years of age. I love history. In particular memoirs, biographies and autobiographies of people throughout history. I find it stimulating to read about their thoughts, their lives, what makes them tick. I look forward to getting to know you. Thank you for having me.
