Jamie ~ Bad Boy Inspector (jamie_badboyinspector) | 35 comments I need some help spending an Amazon GC that I have. I have a lot of series I want to start but I can't decided what to buy. Please give me some ideas, your thoughts, more recommendations. Anything will help. Sorry if you see this twice I posted in another group also.

I Have read or have on hand to read:
Larissa Ione's Demonica Series (love this)
J.R Wards BDB series (love this)
Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series (working on)
Laural K Hamilton's Anita Blake series
Adrian Phoenix's The Makers Song series (favorite at the moment)
Gene Showalter's LOTU series
Patricia Brigg's Alpha & Omega

Here are some series I am thinking about
Carpathians by Christine Feehan
Dante Valentine by Lilith Saintcrow
Darkyn by Lynn Viehl
Werecats Rachel Vincent
Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series

Let me know what you think and help a girl out her..lol!

From the ones you're thinking of I've read and liked Lilith Saintcrow and Rachel Vincent - I can recommend that, the rest? Donno?

I'm not sure that helps a lot, but I tried ;-)

Lori (moderatrixlori) I didn't like the Carpathians but loved Kresley Cole's IAD series. Since you've read the Anita books, the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. Hamilton is also very good.

Jess I've really enjoyed all those series, the only one I haven't read is the Darkyn one. I think that the werecats books are good, but the last was a bit frustrating in my opinion. I just finished with Merry Gentry and I loved it!! I enjoyed it more than Anita Blake because it had an overarching theme which made the books more pleasurable.

Dante Valentine is very much UF and I enjoyed that one. Carpathians I would read but not buy. They're good, but I don't think it's enough to warrant spending the money. Mostly because there are so many books in the series with very similar plot lines.

Hope that helps you

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I'm more partial to PNR than Urban Fantasy, so my vote will go to Cole's Immortals After Dark series.

Jamie ~ Bad Boy Inspector (jamie_badboyinspector) | 35 comments Thanks for the feedback everyone. I am considering Dante Valentine by Lilith Saintcrow and Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series. Does anyone have anymore suggestions that I don't have. You can look at my book list if that will help. I like PNR or UF and I am partial to fallen angels, vamps (of course) and demons.

Jess if you're interested in angels, I really enjoyed Nalini Singh's book Angels' Blood. And her psy changeling series is pretty awesome. The first book is Slave to Sensation. Definitely one of my favorite series in PNR

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments I was about to suggest Singh's Psy/Changeling series, too, even though it doesn't have angels, vamps or demons.

Jamie ~ Bad Boy Inspector (jamie_badboyinspector) | 35 comments Thank you everybody. I have finally decided and here is what I bought.

"Working for the Devil (Dante Valentine, Book 1)" Lilith Saintcrow
"Slave to Sensation (Psy-Changelings, Book 1)" Nalini Singh
"Bitten (Women of the Otherworld, Book 1)" Kelley Armstrong
"Full Moon Rising (Riley Jensen, Guardian, Book 1)" Keri Arthur
"The Mammoth Book of Paranormal Romance" Trisha Telep
"A Hunger Like No Other (The Immortals After Dark Series, Book 1)"Kresley Cole

I also picked up Nalini Singh's book Angels' Blood at walmart the other day. It looks good.
