Hey Chris! Great to meet a reader with eclectic tastes like me.

I read the first two books in the BDB series. Looking forward to the rest.
Have you read other series that are similar?

Hi Jon You must read the whole series.
I started to read the Sookie Stackhouse Novels, I think I got to #4. I am hearing that the last one has a lot of readers pissed off. Oh well.
I know there are others somebody reccommeded Christine Feehan.

Hello Chris and welcome. You came to the right spot to talk books! :)
I have not tried the Black Dagger Brotherhood series yet, but I guess I need to add that to my ever-expanding TBR list. So many of my reading buddies have fallen for it.
What are you currently reading??

I know what you mean I have read the first 4. I love the series True Blood. My Niece read all the books in like 2 weeks! I was totally impressed, lol

Oh you must read them, she weaves a great story. I also love her sense of humor.
I just finished JR Wards first novel Leaping Hearts written under her nom de plume Jessica Bird.
I am also reading Beautiful Ruins by Jess Walter which I am enjoying.

Thank you for correcting my spelling....I hate it when I do not catch my typos!!!

I hope to finish the series this year.
I haven't tried the Sookie books yet. I already watched the show and I normally don't like to watch the show before reading the books.
I added Christine Feehan's to my TBR. Looks good.
Have you heard of Karen Marie Moning's Fever series? I only read the first book Darkfever but I really want to finish this one too.

Back in the day I used to commute daily from Brooklyn to Manhatten and then later on the LIRR. I had to constantly read, it was what kept me occupied and entertained at the same time.
I was always reading off beat book, that most nobody ever heard of, also I read the Village Voice from cover to cover.
One of my all time favorite writers was and still is John Irving. The man can write like nobody's buisness.
I have read some of the classics and in college was forced to read, James Joyce (too depressing), Hemingway.
Then I stopped working in NYC and that was when reading a lot to hardly ever.
About a year ago my hubby and I decided to get rid of cable TV. It's true, you know, TV rots the brain.
Except Downton Abby. That's when I started reading again.
I picked up Fifty Shades of Gray, and the rest is history.
Since last year I have read more books than I did ever!
If you look at my Read list you'll see my taste is very eclectic.
I love JR Ward! Her Black Dagger Brotherhood series is so good.
I would love to talk about the books.
I look foward to chatting.
