Fever by Mary Beth Keane - brilliant! Couldn't put down.

I've started Ratking by Michael Dibdin, an Aurelio Zen mystery that was highly recommended. Zen, a cop who's out of favor with the powers that be, is sent to Perugia to deal with a kidnapping. So far I'm enjoying the story.

Just starting Three Lives of Tomomi Ishikawa [bookcover:Three Lives of Tomomi Ishikawa|13165229, sounds very different.

Just finished re-reading The Watersplash by Patricia Wentworth and I'm part way through Original Sin by P.D. James I got a bit bored re-reading about Miss Silver and ended up skipping most of the middle to get to the end to see if I remembered it properly. Original Sin is okay so far.

Just started Bitter Harvest, an apple orchard mystery.

It was an excellent, short-lived unfortunately, BBC TV series, Barbara.

I just finished Point of Origin by Patricia Cornwell. It was a good read. I am now reading The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly.

Last night I finished listening to Twilight - Stephenie Meyer. Next Sunday I am gonna listen to New Moon - Stephenie Meyer. Now I am going back to Death Bringer - Derek Landy.

I finished The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. I'm currently reading Blowback by Brad Thor.

Well into the latest Sandford Prey book and am finding it the usual polished, professional I expect of this series. I'm not usually much for political plotlines but I think Sandford could drop his characters into a plot in a nursing home and keep it interesting.

I do see some slight echoes of the character of the female assassin from two previous Prey novels, more mindset than anything else and I'm enjoying the inclusion of the Kidd and Lauren couple from another of his series as well.

Currently reading Forced to Kill by Andrew Peterson. The third one already on kindle; can't wait!

I finished The Killing Hour this weekend. I thought it was so so... it wasn't my favorite, however, as always, she hit the "mystery" part of it right on the head. I just didn't care for the flow of the story or some of the content. I found it boring but outside of my personal dislike for the subject matter of the book (enviornmental type details), it was a good book.

I've now started book 4, Indelible of Karin Slaughter's Grant County series. I'm really enjoying this series and this book didn't take any time jumping right into the action!

Gone Missing another top notch read from this author, but getting a little tired of how the main character ALWAYS gets herself in trouble, ( becoming unbelievable at this point) I like the fact this series is set in my home state and this one hit home a little more than others with the recent release of the woman who were held for so many years in Cleveland. The book is a very graphic read ( as always), very descriptive in describing amish life and the whos/whys and are you sure about this clue is topnothc.

I also read SummerlandNOT a true mystery but has a lot of foreshadowing in it and a good read between violent mysteries.

and trying to wrap my head around Last to Die this is to be my go to series as soon as it is published, but I wander away and I think the series is less than what the earlier books are.

The latest of the Longmier mysteries was available today and won't get much accomplished until I'm finished. The usual cast of characters and authentic modern western setting, home country for me.

I'm reading Under The Dome by Stephen King and listening to the audio of Rules of Prey by John Sandford

I just finishied , the first Vish Puri mystery, by Tarquin Hall and enjoyed very much. It reminded me of the No 1 Ladies' Detective agency books or the Dr Siri Paiboun mysteries and a good old fashioned comfort mystery. Vish Puri is a PI in Delhi, with a team of investigators who wants to rid modern India of the crime that is escalating with the rush of modernity and all its vices. His cases were interesting and resolution was satisfactory. I liked his family and his descriptions of life in India. 3.5 stars.. Currently finishig off the 3rd book of the The Eagle of the Ninth Chronicles and Mr. Midshipman Hornblower, enjoying both very much and about to start Puck of Pook's Hill by Rudyard Kipling.

Mine, too! And W is coming! W is coming! As for Kinsey and Me: Stories, the short stories featuring Kinsey were great. The rest of it was pretty personally brave of Sue Grafton.

Just finished Jacob's Story, picked up & started The Racketeer, lost it, started Silken Prey. Now reading both.

I just finished JUMP - it was a thriller procedural with a sci-fi twist and reminded me of Quantum Leap combined with CSI (without the gore). A new, local author for me, and I was impressed! Fast pacing, a quick read with a very interesting premise.

I liked the short stories, also. Hard to believe you could have a good mystery in just a few pages. I thought the last part of it was really depressing, though. Not the type of thing I usually read.

I'm 60% through by Jason Purdy

Last night I listened to Northanger Abbey - Jane Austen which I throughly enjoyed, made me laugh at all sorts of bits in the audio. I've since gone on to read The Mirror of the Soul - J. Lloyd Morgan which is different to what I normally read. Quite good so far.

Just finished Zero Day by David Baldacci (loved it) and now I'm reading Joyland by Stephen King.

I recently finished Bronze Gods, a steampunk police procedural. Now I'm working on a couple of short stories. Just finished Pros and Cons, a fun short story that proceeds the anticipated book The Heist, a collaboration between Janet Evanovich and Lee Goldberg. Now I'm starting Long Lost: A Kate Burkholder Short Story, a short story by Linda Castillo in anticipation of her coming novel Her Last Breath. I can't wait to read both of these books!

Reading . Its OK but it has a strange vibe like Lindsay is trying to both keep up with and reconcile the books with the TV series. It comes off as trying to be way too clever.

I am currently reading this book as well and I don't like it much. Not really understanding what they are running from. Just that someone wants to kill people. Not good but I'm gonna finish it.

I'm currently reading Birds of Prey by JA Jance. Trying to catch up on the series. Loving it so far. I'm also re reading Honeymoon by James Patterson. The second book to this series comes out on June 24th so I want a refresher. I just finished White Sister by Stephen J Cannell.

I finished Promise Me by Harlan Coben, a Myron Bolitar mystery. This is one of the later books in the series and the characters in Myron's entourage aren't as fun and interesting as they used to be. I also thought the plot was a little too convoluted and didn't quite hang together. 3 stars for me.

Just finished Killing Floor and Second Son by Lee Child. I am hooked.
About to start Zero Hour by Clive Cussler, NUMA series, book 11.

I just finished The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly. It was nice to finally get closure on what happened to his mother. I really liked the book. Not sure what to start now.

someone gave me killing floor about five years ago. i read nothin but Lee Child for the next year. did the same thing with Ludlum.

I finished The Ragnarok Conspiracy , a thriller that takes the global-terrorist-conspiracy story and turns it on its head: what would happen if a Western extremist group started launching terrorist attacks on Moslems?

It's a great concept and a good story undermined by some execution issues. The things that bugged me may work for you, however. Three-plus stars, but unfortunately we can't do half stars.
